People say you can't ever go back. That some of the things that happen to us simply cannot be redone. But the paths of a life journey are rarely straight. They twist and turn and wind back across those once visited and long thought to have faded from existence.Becca Miller has lived her life trying to do the right thing, even when its cost has been giving up the boy she loved and wanted to marry. The sacrifice she made for her sister isn't one she regrets because there was no other choice for her to make. And for eighteen years, she lives this choice with full commitment and as little looking back as she can manage. When Matt Griffith returns to Ballard County for the funeral of his grandmother, the path that had seemed so straight begins to loop back and take her across feelings she thought she had put away for good. As it turns out, those roads we've traveled do not fade at all. They simply wait to be retraveled, leaving us with the decision to follow them exactly as we did before, or make a different choice and find out where it will lead us. (Previously titled Crossing Tinker's Knob.)

When she realizes she's to blame for her nineteen-year-old daughter's disappearance, Keegan Monroe leaves behind a successful career in L.A. for a quieter life on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia. Raised in the foster care system, Keegan had been determined that her children would live a different life. And so, while she fully met their physical needs, the best schools and a luxurious lifestyle, she hadn't been a daily presence in their lives the way she now knows she should have been. She doesn't intend to waste her son's last year of high school in the same way and determines that things will be different between them in spite of his obvious resentment of the move to Virginia. Bowie Dare, an ex-FBI agent turned thriller writer, loves the life he's made for himself and his dog Carson on Smith Mountain Lake. Years of seeing the evil underbelly of society led him to a point where he had to choose a different existence. He'd lost his wife in the process - she liked the old Bowie - the one who had been able to compartmentalize the bad stuff he saw and go on with life per normal. When Keegan stops at Bowie's house to ask directions the night she arrives at the lake, they're both at a point of questioning their earlier choices and whether those choices had been worth the price. But in this chance encounter, they begin to realize that the puzzle pieces of life don't always make sense until we're a little further down the road. And you just never know when the real thing might come along.

I never dreamed he would come back to Smith Mountain Lake. That we would have a second chance. Or that once he was mine, all these years later, I might lose him all over again. . . Gabby Hayden wasn't the kind of girl who gave a hoot about boys. She had a few real loves. Water-skiing, going out on Smith Mountain Lake with her dad and her dog. Anything else ranked a distant second. Until the summer smart, caring, gorgeous Sam Tatum gave her his heart. It had been the most wonderful time of her life, lazy days hanging out at the dock, skinny-dipping at midnight, staring up at the stars from the back of Sam's truck. They are planning their future together when Sam's father is transferred to South Africa. Devastated, Gabby and Sam promise to wait for each other during the two years before he returns for college. But lonely and angry, Sam makes a mistake that will change the course of both their lives. Years later, an unexpected diagnosis brings Sam home to his parents' house on Smith Mountain Lake where he believes he can find peace and acceptance. What he finds, however, is the girl he once loved, now a woman unwilling to lose him again, a woman who will make him realize that both love and life are worth fighting for. ** ★★★★★ A wonderfully emotional story. Blue Wide Sky is another total winner from Inglath Cooper. I immediately developed a liking for both main characters and was totally taken by their stories and the emotional interactions between them from the beginning (and even before) until the end of the story. ★★★★★ Wonderful. I loved this book. I can't wait to read the next. These are the most beautiful live stories that I've ever read. Thanks. ★★★★★ Triumphant long lost love. There were twists and turns in this book that I didn't expect when I started it. It was real and genuine. Once I started reading, it was hard to stop. I got a good cry and a whole lot of love from this book. I recommend it. Great to read on my snow day! ★★★★★ Feel good story of second chances. The story is told from different viewpoints of the characters. It's the kind of story that makes you root for all of them and hope they have that second chance at love & life. The quotes at the beginning of the chapters were so good that I wrote many of them down. ★★★★★ Oh my gosh. Giggles. Belly laughs. Tears. Lots of feel good moments. Love the breaks with the different quotes. Can't wait to find some more books by this author. I could seem to turn the pages quick enough! ★★★★★ Wow! Emotionally spent after this story. Love that I've discovered Inglath Cooper books.....my soul needs her stories. Finding the words to describe this book is difficult. I loved that Gabby and Sam were reunited because nothing feels quite like our first love. The obstacles and issues they faced were heart wrenching but the power of love is amazing. I cried as if was right there with them. My thoughts are not settled enough yet to give this book its full due.....just read it if you want to make sure your heart is still working. ★★★★★ The books of Inglath Cooper. The Smith Mountain Lake series is all wonderful, but the Wide Blue Sky is a barn burner. SHE HAS A WAY OF LETTING YOU IN TO HER CHARACTERS LIVES, THAT YOU HATE TO FINISH THE BOOK AND LET THEM GO.

Keegan Monroe moves to Smith Mountain Lake Virginia from Hollywood to try to save her son from going down a bad path her daughter took, they haven't heard from her in a year. Bowie Dare left the FBI for the quiet life at the lake where he can write his suspense novels. Keegan and Bowie have a chance meeting when she stops for directions driving into town. Starting over, hope and fate make for a fantastic story.¿¿¿¿¿ Butterflies. Another romantic, yet thrilling novel that set my belly into a wave of butterflies and feely goods. The simplistic life has never looked more appealing and I feel blessed to be able to relate with it. Nothing better than a connection between a good book and your reality.¿¿¿¿¿ Loved it! I loved this book! Good plot. Loved the quotes in between the short chapters. The type of book you can't put down. Just what I needed for relaxing on a summer afternoon/ evening and sitting outside and reading. Buying another one of many by Inglath Cooper now.

But Grier doesn't count on finding that her mother is no longer the person she used to be. She certainly doesn't plan on falling for an old boyfriend's really hot brother! And it isn't long before she begins to realize Timbell Creek is not only a part of who she was, but might be a part of who she is as well. *** ¿¿¿¿¿ I loved this book. . .I honestly believe that I could turn around right now and read it again. The characters were believable and interesting. I cared what was happening to them and wanted to get to know them better. I liked that the book relied on a good story line and characters rather than just a series of steamy scenes. Will look for others by this author.

If you had told me I would be heading off to Italy to celebrate my twenty-year anniversary without my workaholic husband, or that I would end up getting drunk on the plane ride over and falling on the lap of the rock star my daughter has a poster of hanging in her dorm room, I would have said oh, sure, right. But, well, that is exactly what happened. And when we run into each other outside my hotel in Florence, and he asks if I would mind if he followed me around the Italian countryside for a while, what can I say? I can hardly believe it myself. I mean my own husband has barely noticed me for years. What on earth could I possibly have to offer Ren Sawyer? The truth is I have no idea. But I'm pretty sure I want to find out. *** ¿¿¿¿¿ I loved every page from start to finish. A small town contemporary romance with heart. . .She's Main Street. He's Wall Street.Desperate father Ian McKinley moves his delinquent teenage son to the small Virginia town of Keeling Creek, a place very unlike the New York City life he has been leading. If she had learned anything from the one time she had thrown her heart fully into love, it was that it didn't last. What else could Ian and Colby possibly have in common? Dogs? Yes. Love? Maybe.***¿¿¿¿¿ Wow! Powerful story about the healing power of love. And not just the love between a man and woman, but the love of parents for their children, the children for their parents and the love between people and their pets. This story covers it all! I loved it.¿¿¿¿¿ Excellent and sweet. A very well done story about two single-parents of teenagers, trying to do their best. Each have suffered losses that make loving and trusting again a challenge to overcome. Lovely, rich characters set in a small-town, with excellent veterinarian Colby - a strong and successful woman, and gorgeous work-obsessed Ian, who comes to the small town to get his son in a slower environment due to some acting out that life in NYC made too easy. Rich storytelling, a very engrossing read!¿¿¿¿¿ I loved every bit of this book. "And Then You Loved Me" is the first book I read by Inglath Cooper. I queued a few more of her books to read and picked this first because I love dogs (and cats) and we have a veterinarian in our family. Whatever the reasons I loved every chapter of this book. I hated to reach the end but there could be an obvious follow-up to this. I hope so. For now I need to read every book by Inglath Cooper that I can find.¿¿¿¿¿ Fun, Fresh, Fast and Relaxing Read. Good Guys Love Dogs was my first read by Inglath Cooper. Great style and enjoyable. Fast moving and interesting with characters I could relate to. I will be reading more Inglath Cooper books.
