When a diplomatic mission to Venezuela turns into a bloodbath, Secret Service Special Agent Patrick Morley and the surviving members of the protective detail are caught in a vice. With each turn of the screw, Morley is forced to make another life-and-death decision. The final evil turn will force him to choose between the people he loves and a protectee he loathes. With lives in the balance, he is caught between his heart and, A Sense of Duty. A Sense of Duty, the second book in Jack Davis's A Sense of series, is a fast-paced, action-packed thriller that confronts the complexities of balancing personal morals and a professional oath. Told through the intersecting lives of a Secret Service agent, the son of the US vice president, and a Venezuelan general trying to untangle his family from the grip of a sadistically corrupt government; it deftly weaves human emotion into in-depth, realistic representations of tactical operations and well-constructed portrayals of political corruption.

If you are from Maine (that is, you're a Mainer), there's no need to explain anything. You already know Allen's, how to order it, mix it, and - most importantly - how to enjoy it. If you are a visitor or wannabe Mainer, then you're in for a real treat. Allen's coffee brandy is the liquor that real Mainers drink. A Maine home without a bottle of Allen's is like, well, a skunk that's been run over by a truck. It's just not right. So if you are a Maine fan of any kind, shape, size, or attitude and need the down low about Allen's, this is the book for you. It's guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a warm glow in your tummy. We suggest you start with a Double Wide.

Marty exceeded every expectation I had for him. Even while I was aware of his billionaire status, I had never seen it in person.Like no other man before, I adored the way he treated me. He knew every member of his staff by name, which I found admirable.

In keeping with my longstanding interest in the surgical corrrection of external ear deformities, I have followed Jack Davis' contributions to this challenging type of reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery since I read his first article in 1951. As a longtime good friend of Jack in our roles as editors of the journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and as past presidents of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), I have kept up- to-date in reading his numerous accomplishments in external ear surgery for these past 46 years. The reader might find it reassuring to learn that in this period of 4t decades, Jack Davis has contributed to our specialty 42 separate articles, lec- tures, discussions, chapters, and other items describing external ear surgery. In 1978 in our journal, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, he presented an excellent re- view article on "e;History of the Aesthetic Surgery of the Ear,"e; which was co- authored with the assistance of Horacio H. Hernandez. This same subject was also presented in 1985 in a chapter in an ISAPS book devoted to the 'The Creation of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery."e; Even more importantly, and historically, Davis gave us his opus magnum publication in 1987, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Otoplasty, which covered almost every conceivable aspect of these types of surgery in its 581 pages.

The Dreamers is the story of a country-town family and old Uncle Worru, who in his dying days, recedes from urban hopelessness to the life and language of the Nyoongah spirit in him, which has survived 'civilisation'.
