As featured on Deadliest Catch A fourth generation fisherman, Jake Anderson grew up in the rich fishing environment of Anacortes, Washington. At age seventeen, Jake began salmon fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska, and by the age of twenty-five he was crab fishing in the heart of the Bering Sea. Soon after, Jake became a deckhand on the F/V Northwestern and joined the popular television series Deadliest Catch. As an integral part of the show, Jake is known for his hardworking nature that has allowed him to evolve from greenhorn to licensed captain. Aside from fishing, Jake has a harrowing story that has yet to be told. As an avid skateboarder, Jake aspired to become a professional until he was sidelined by injury, addiction, and homelessness. After relentlessly battling back, he was then confronted with the untimely losses of his sister, father, and mentor, Phil Harris. But with depth and maturity, Jake persevered. In his debut book, Relapse, Jake serves as an inspiration as he candidly shares his private journey to overcome tragedy.

I am writing this to those who call themselves Christians, redeemed by the belief in the coming, dying, and rising of Jesus, and the understanding that he is Lord-of the same nature and with the same authority of God-and the ap¬pointed judge of humanity's actions - realized and unre¬alized. An incorrect understanding of God's Lordship, Je¬sus's purpose, and right action in response to God's grace will lead us away from true faith. As dangerous to incorrect thought is correct thinking about God without a continual return to remember his grace. To identify oneself as Chris¬tian is to continue to return to the grace of Jesus's sacrifice, which drew us to God in the first place. I am not writing to say that without this continual return to the truth we are like someone who had some water two days ago and noth¬ing to drink since. We quickly become unsatisfied with God and if we do not continue to drink him into our lives, to satisfy our thirst, we will die very quickly with water on our minds and in our sight wondering how things would be so much different if we were to just have had a drink.
After Izzy has a vision of a horrifying murder in which their enemies seem to know their identities, the group officially goes on lockdown to keep themselves safe. With serious injuries regularly plaguing them, they are worn down by the escalating power of their opponents. Little do they know, a monster is already in their midst...
On October 8th, 2009, Bobby Jamison, his wife Sherilynn, and their six-year-old daughter Madyson, set off for a drive from their home in Eufaula, Oklahoma, to the nearby Sans Bois Mountains. They didn't return that day, or the next. A week later, their truck was found abandoned on a mountain road. Inside was their dog, malnourished but alive, the family's cell phones, wallets, and $32,000 in cash. The ensuing eight-month search was the largest in Oklahoma history, but it yielded little evidence. Online, bloggers and web sleuths put forth dozens of theories, fueled by the Jamisons' strange, trancelike behavior on a CCTV video. Some claimed the family was abducted by white supremacists or a religious cult. In 2013, there was a tragic break in the case, when deer hunters stumbled upon the skeletal remains of two adults and a child in the Smokestack Hollow area of Panola Mountain. Forensic testing confirmed the Jamisons' identities.
