This book contains Bible verses expressed in inspirational prayers. The prayers are written in rhyming poems. Each page has its own story to tell. I wrote these poetic prayers every day, once a night. It was my way to worship God and ask him to come to save me and guide me in hardship times. He didn't disappoint. I was a little teenager from a broken country in the war. I left my family when I was 17 years old and tried to follow my biggest dream which was coming to the United States and living free for ones. Jesus took care of me. But after I got what I wanted, I broke up with him and followed my selfish desires. I then got lost and fell. I gave up on Jesus, but he never gave up on me. After all the bad things I had done to myself and others I was at my lowest moment, hopeless and alone. I wrote these rhyming words to call him. Jesus again didn't turn his face away from me. He came and rescued me again and again. I pray to God that this book helps you too and shows you a light in the darkest moments. God bless you.

Death of an Irish Guard - A family's true story. This story is for adults only. It is a story of domestic abuse and contains language some readers may find offensive. Domestic abuse is totally unacceptable. Sadly, it is still prevalent in 21st century society. This book begins with the backgrounds to the author's parents. There are then two major events which change the future. The first event, in May 1963, is when the author's dad, an Irish Guard, is tragically killed whilst on duty. He leaves behind a 22-year-old widow with four children aged between 2 and 5.The second event is when the author's brave and loving mum remarries in March 1969. From this point the story tells of life living with an alcoholic, the author's stepdad, an individual with no moral compass. This is the beginning of over 14 years of physical and mental abuse. The story ends in 1983.During this story the author tells of the mystery surrounding his dad's death, and the truth about what had happened. In the immediate aftermath of his father's passing, the story covers the author's mum's brave struggles to be rehoused, and the lack of support from agencies such as welfare and social services. This book is also a historic record of living through the 1960s, 70s and early 80s.The author's previous works are the children's series 'The Astral Five in the Tales of The Baggage.'

Extraordinary author James Hanna gives us his second collection of short stories--all of them eerily alluring yet packing a humorous or Kafkaesque wallop. Relying on his police and prison experiences, Hanna is able to craft realistic stories involving deviants as well as those who guard them, yet these stories are never police procedurals. Hanna has a Hunter S. Thompson flair that shows both the socially appalling as well as the underbelly of the 21st century and yet he delivers the wry humor to ferry us all across life’s turbulent river.
