Bella, por un incidente de su desdichado padre, quizás por razones predeterminas por el destino, debe irse a vivir al castillo de una Bestia que pretende matarla. Sin embargo, Bestia, nombre que así mismo se da el amo y señor de aquél castillo, se enamora perdidamente de Bella y no sólo perdona la vida de Bella sino que le propone matrimonio.
