The Interplay of Text and Image in Japanese Prints presenteert zo¿n 300 surimono (luxe gedrukte Japanse prenten met gedichten) uit de collectie van het Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich, Zwitserland. Recentelijk zijn zij in permanente bruikleen gegeven aan het Museum Rietberg in Zürich. De collectie is oorspronkelijk bij elkaar gebracht door de Zwitserse verzamelaar en kunstenaar Marino Lusy (1880-1954) en bevat vele zeldzame en tot dusver niet eerder gepubliceerde prenten.
