This is an historical adventure/romance set in England in the late 1700s in which a rich aristocrat loses everything he has in a card game and then meets a lovely young highwaywoman who, as he is penniless, takes him with her as a bounty; but then they fall in love as he finds out her beauty and personal history and realises they have a lot in common. It all ends tragically but with a few surprises and twists along the way.

He escapes from England to the USA, by hiding on a ship and: with a little help from his uncle, The Prof, and a friend, Bartek, who works for NASA, plus some hindrance from the sinister organisation 'ARK' who are trying to stop him, Joshua bravely manages to save the Earth.

It was once joked that Americans and British are divided by a common language.
