This is my sixth book published by Xulon Press. I am a Christian book writer. I started writing my first book in 1957 I called "Adventure the Long Walk - After-Christ." It took me some forty years to finish; the reason it took me so long I lost confidence, it was my wife who convinced me to go on. She became ill and after many years I became her caregiver. She ended confined to her bed and a wheel-chair. In her last three years she was unable to speak, she communicated with me by writing notes. It was sad, but a beautiful unity between us for 53 years. One day she wrote me a note saying, "why don''t you go back to your writing?" So, after forty years I took her advice. It took me a couple of years to finish the book. She passed on in 2005, she never got to see my novel. Writing stayed with me as I continued three more books including a children''s novel called, Dragon Dee, and the Fire-man. Now My sixth book I call, "My Vision - A journey through Biblical Truth." This vision given to me I will interpret and make it simple to understand. It is the story of abomination that happened in the beginning onto the day Noah entered the ark that seem to be repeating today. I cannot tell why the Lord has placed this manuscript in my mind. The visions that come to me I cannot explain, so I sit and start writing: I have no papers or a degree in theology and I am a bad speller, yet my drive keeps on going. Everything that I write is found in the King James Bible. I comprehend the Word different than most. The interpretations that I write come to life as I go on.
Hello, my name is Joseph N. Padilla. Author of the novel, "Adventure the Long Walk, Afterchrist", now comes "The Nail." The Nail is my effort to recreate some of the mystery and awe that must have surrounded those souls fortunate enough to have encountered the massage of our savior either during his lifetime or soon after. As the story begins, Joshua Saul is about as low in the social scale as anyone can be. A beggar at the gate called Beautiful in Jerusalem of 48 A.D. He is penniless, homeless, illiterate and, for all practical purposes, without faith. Yet, in the story's final scene, Saul stands preaching to an arena filled with scoffers of God, and in an act of divine inspiration, calls on the Holy Spirit to act so clearly that all within sight are made to believe in the power of Jesus Christ - All through the symbolic power of a simple nine-inch nail. Joshua Saul`'s life begins it's ascent toward spiritual fulfillment on Golgotha - literally. While resting against an old crucifixion log after burying his mother, he finds embedded in the ground an old nail. Strangely soothed by the nail, he tucks it away in his girdle. Little does he know the profound changes this simple act will bring. Soon enough miracles of rebirth, healing and spiritual redemption sprout around Saul. With an open heart and a willing soul, this simple young man is transformed into a vessel for the message of salvation brought to earth by Jesus Christ, and so doing fulfills his destiny. A tail of spiritual growth, adventure and romance, The Nail opens a new window on the story of Christ and the transformation of his holy presence enacted on even the physical objects that he's come in touch with.
Aurora is the story of a young woman, pure of heart, who lives in ancient Judea at the time of Jesus and the Roman occupation. Named for the new dawn by an angel in her father's dream, even from very young Aurora has visions and dreams of angles. As she grows up with her father, Jonah, her mother Elizabeth, her brother, Gillen, and their dog Auckie, she begins to wonder deeply about the role of women in their faith that follows the teachings of Jesus. When both parents pass away, the siblings are force to leave the small farm for economic reasons to move to Jerusalem to the estate of their uncle, Samuel. It is there that Aurora's destiny is to be fulfilled. For she has been chosen by God to represent women, and to bring the word to the new Christian followers, that women should be able to express and discuss their love for God and Jesus in public. Distressed to learn of Jesus' passing, Aurora meets the High Priest of the Temple of Herod, Eleazar, who guides and teaches her more of Jesus' ways. She too meets Mary Magdalene. All who meet Aurora feel she is blessed by God. But will Aurora be able to reach the Christians followers, not to mention the hostile Jewish Sanhedrin authorities and their followers, at the important meeting at the Garden of Gethsemane? And what actions will the governor, Pontius Pilate take? He who has already executed one guilt of heresy. Aurora is the life and courage of a woman who, blessed by God, and must come to understand the role set before her to speak up amongst a people that forbids her to do so.
