The Taru Book series includes children's and juvenile's books about a little boy, Joshua King, and his pet elephant, Taru, and how their faith in God gets them through various complicated life situations. The series is intended for children ages 6-12, providing them with a non-violent way to handle situations and to cope with life stressors. In this Taru Book, Joshua and Taru learn about the importance of sharing. Taru is so preoccupied with his dream of creating an elephants-only zoo that he becomes depressed when Joshua does not share a million dollars with him. Well - looks can be deceiving, and although it appears to be a million dollars, it's really something totally unrelated to money. In the end, Joshua shows Taru that spending time with and laboring for others without being rewarded in return is a sure way to feel happy again...million dollars or not. God blesses you every time you share what you have with others - even if what you share is just a smile or a kind word! Sharing - the coolest blessing there is!
