French text: These three volumes represent tthe most comprehensive and detailed study of the uniforms and equipment of the German paratroopers (Fallschirmjäger) of World War II. Virtually every element of uniform is presented in its every detail, including the different types of jump suits (Knochensack), and equipment used by the Luftwaffe from the mid-1930s to the capitulation of the Reich. The reader will also find badges to Fallschirmjäger and many previously unpublished stories. In short, this work describes in depth the 'green Devils' operations, the attack on Norway in the last days of the Third Reich, passing by the assault on the Belgian fortress of Eben Emael. Campaigns in Holland, Crete, North Africa, Russia, Italy, Normandy and the Ardennes are included in this trilogy. With the help of collectors and museums around the world, the author and the German Publisher have undertaken an unprecedented collaboration. The three volumes total more than 1,000 pages in color, with thousands of photos of objects from collections of the Fallschirmjäger including pieces never revealed and investigated. This exceptional triptych is enriched with many photos of the time including many never before published.
This three-volume work is the most comprehensive and detailed study of the World War II German paratrooper to date, providing in-depth examinations of nearly every uniform item - including all models of jump smocks - and equipment used from the airborne forces' establishment in the mid-1930s to May 1945.
