Worlds of History offers a flexible comparative and thematic organization that accommodates a variety of teaching approaches and helps students to make cross-cultural comparisons. Thoughtfully compiled by a distinguished world historian and community college instructor, each chapter presents a wide array of primary and secondary sources arranged around a major theme -- such as universal religions, the environment and technology, or gender and family -- across two or more cultures, along with pedagogy that builds students' capacity to analyze and interpret sources, and think critically and independently
Called to More - It is the hearts cry for every person, knowing there is more to this life than what they have experienced so far. As a new Christion, there is a whole world of possibilities that God wants you to learn and experience. As the saying goes, the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. In this book are the tools you will need to begin that journey, and once you begin - Nothing will ever be the same. God is calling you to a deeper understanding of who He is, a closer walk with Him and an empowerment of His Spirit that will change your life forever. Let's start together and see where He Takes Us! Kevin Reilly has always lived a life of service to the Lord, by serving people. Whether it's stopping to change someone's tire in the middle of a downpour, or going on ministry and mission trips helping those in need and spreading the Gospel. Saved in his 20s from a life immersed in alcohol and drugs, Kevin was instantly healed by God from his addictions. He has since served many years in the fire service, and is currently a fire investigator in Virginia. While the fire service was his "paying job" Kevin has worked with various ministries God has led him to help with. Currently he sits on the Board of Directors for Christ in Action Ministries, a disaster response group who has helped thousands after disasters in the United States. He describes himself as a "just a guy" but has extraordinarily loved his God, his family and his fellow man.
