As the return of the Lord draws near there has never been a time when effective prayer is more strategic, necessary, and essential than now. Will we be a people who will truly watch and pray? Will anyone respond to His call and challenge?Corporate intercession is almost a lost art-and that when we most need it!I sought for a man among them, that should build up the wall, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found none (Ezekiel 22:30).This is the call and challenge of the Lord.
Covering is perhaps one of the most vitally important subjects that God's people could study. Lance shows that this is one of the strong emphases of the Bible from its beginning to its end. For those who abide in God, who dwell in the secret place, the covered place, the Almighty is their protection, their security, and their safety. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1) As the days grow more and more evil and the world tries to devour the Lord's people, it is vital that we come under and stay under the covering of our God, that we boldly enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus.
Through this book Lance Lambert clearly reminds us that the calling of God for man is that we should have dominion over all things that He has created. This is our divine vocation as man. We are not to be defeated but to overcome, not to be subdued but to subdue. Using examples from the Old and New Testaments, he shows that this is man's eternal vocation. We are called to reign with Christ. "And now I vest in you the kingship which my Father vested in me." (see Luke 22:29-30 NEB)God's purpose from the very beginning was that in union with Himself, man should come to the place of ruling and reigning, where he could administer the government of God. The original purpose for man was thwarted by sin, but thank God this matter of dominion over all things has been secured in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Meditations on Psalm 110: A Psalm of David.Jehovah saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool. Jehovah will send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: Rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people offer themselves willingly In the day of thy power, in holy array: Out of the womb of the morning Thou hast the dew of thy youth. Jehovah hath sworn, and will not repent: Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand Will strike through kings in the day of his wrath. He will judge among the nations, He will fill the places with dead bodies; He will strike through the head in many countries. He will drink of the brook in the way: Therefore will he lift up the head.
With startling effect, Lance Lambert reveals the symmetrical design evident throughout the Bible, including the fascinating relationship between Genesis and Revelation. The author uncovers a dimension of the Bible that most believers will surely find a new revelation. The author writes,"There is no truth that is of greater importance than this matter of God's eternal purpose. Once you begin to understand God's ultimate aim in time, and for the ages to come, life becomes more meaningful and significant. Why did God create this universe and this earth, which at our present extent of knowledge is unique? What was His aim and goal in its creation? Why did He create mankind? And when man fell short of His glory through sin, why did He persevere and provide salvation? Is that salvation an end in itself, or is it a means to an end, with everything provided within it to reach the final goal? And how can I be involved in the fulfillment of that purpose?" Answering these very questions, this passionate book will point you to a fresh and exciting understanding of what it truly means to be a Christian. It helps answer the ultimate question: What is the meaning of life?
In the prophecy of Jeremiah it says this: "For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they have called thee an outcast, saying, It is Zion, for whom no one cares" (30:17). That is exactly true of the history of the Jewish people. They were a people for whom no one cared. For 1,800 years the Jews were outcasts, and everyone looked down upon them and treated them as such. However the Lord Himself said: "I have seen this; I Myself will restore health unto thee. I Myself will heal thee of thy wounds because they have said, it is Zion which is an outcast for whom no one cares."God is working a work in such a way that this nation of Israel becomes a testimony to the absolute authority and relevance of His Word. That is true of its recreation, its regathering, its rebuilding, and the restoration of its fertility and ecology. However it is in the immediate years that lie ahead that its greatest witness to the faithfulness of God will be revealedto the nations."When you see these things begin to come to pass, know ye that He is nigh, even at the door" (see Matthew 24:33).
There is no more vital, strategic, necessary matter than living faith. We are living in the days of artificiality and superficiality, of a very shallow kind of Christianity. It is a Christianity that is more on the surface -- skin deep. We do not find, today, the depth of character, of sacrifice, of endurance that once characterized the church of God. This is very largely because we are not the possessors of a living, working faith. We need a living, working faith that links us to the Person of the Lord and brings us into all the reality of what He has so dearly won for us at Calvary. The greatest need amongst us who love the Lord and are true believers is a genuine, living working faith; there is no other faith. Real faith is always alive; real faith is always working. There is no other faith. The faith that is in our head is nothing but human intelligence masquerading as Christianity. Real faith unites us to God. Real faith brings us into the will of God. Real faith brings us to the fruit of the Spirit. Real faith brings us into the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Real faith means that you and I are walking with the Lord in a contemporary manner.
"If Any Man Would Follow Me…""If any man come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me." These words, spoken by the Lord Jesus without any preamble are the very heart of discipleship. Here we have the heart of what it is to be a child of God. This is not just something to do with deeper life, this lies at the center of the gospel.
In “Be Ye Ready”, you will find Lance shares his burden on being prepared for the return of the Lord. May we be His bride ready for the wedding feast to come.In I Chronicles 12:32 the Bible says of the sons of Issachar that they were “… men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do.” May the Lord have a people today who understand the days in which we are living and are being prepared to meet the Bridegroom—the Lord Jesus.
Israel-not just for the tourist. It is a geographical knot in a tug of war between the super powers. This book takes you into the political as well as the spiritual conflict. Written by a man with inside information, he presents a perspective not to be found anywhere else.Lance Lambert, long time friend of prominent leaders and an authority on the Bible history of the Israeli nation, is the author. He gives an 'on the scene' account of the Yom Kippur War-he predicts the future-his insight is unique.Never before has one man been allowed to enter into the confidence of Israelis to such an extent-Lambert, a Christian, welcomed and loved by Jews, describes the Battle for Israel.
Has the Lord called you to serve Him?What kind of qualities do servants of God have? How can we gain these qualities? In Qualities of God's Servants Lance shares the answers to these questions and more, shedding light on the way God prepares for those who serve Him!
Little in our lives today is more important and more needed than personal spiritual growth. I am convinced that Lance Lambert's discernment (and humor) in this account of God's dealings with Jacob are worth a thousand sermons. Of all his books and Bible teachings, I regard this as the apex, the spearhead, the most important of all else that Lance has shared in his worldwide teaching ministry.- Ken Burnett When God deals with us it is often in deeply mystifying ways. There is no greater example of how God shapes a person than through the remarkable story of Jacob. Jacob I Have Loved is far more than a mere biblical overview of the story of Jacob. It is an outstanding illustration of God's desire to utterly transform our fallen inner nature. Despite a twisted, deceiving, and sinful heart, Jacob nonetheless inherited God's richest blessings and became one of the patriarchs of our faith. Herein lies one of the Bible's great mysteries. The amazing truth is that Jacob's name has not been lost in the debris of human history, nor has it been forgotten, as have so many other names. Incredibly, it is forever linked with God. His story is an integral part of the history of divine redemption. This book is about the power of God to transform a human life.Jacob's story is our story.
Woven into the fabric of Jewish existence there is an undeniable uniqueness. There is bitter controversy over the subject of Israel, but time itself will establish the truth about this nation's place in God's plan. For Lance Lambert, the Lord Jesus is the key that unlocks Jewish history He is the key not only to their fall, but also to their restoration. For in spite of the fact that they rejected Him, He has not rejected them.
What is it that a believer in Christ is called to? In this book Lance Lambert explores deeper into what God has for His children and the way to go on fully into this eternal glorious purpose unto which He has called His own.
This book is a call and a challenge to genuine intercession and is directed to the remnant of the faithful in the Western nations. The climax of the battle is ahead of us, and we need to know what we face and the safety we have in the Lord Jesus. In Him, we have absolute protection. He is our armor for the conflict, and we need to know how to stand, withstand, and having done all continue to stand in Him and in His power and strength. If once we learn to abide in the Lord Jesus, to remain where God has placed us, by the Holy Spirit we will overcome.
And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts. (II Peter 1:9)The word of prophecy was not given that we might merely be comforted but that we would be prepared and made ready. Let us look into the Word of God together, searching out the prophecies, that the Day-Star arise in our hearts until the Day dawns.
"O Timothy, guard that which is committed unto thee …" (I Timothy 6:20) Has God given you something? Has God deposited something in you? Is there something of Himself which He has given to you to contribute to the people of God? Guard it.Guard that vision which He has given you. Guard that understanding that He has so mercifully granted to you. Guard that experience which He has given that it does not evaporate or drain away or become a cause of pride. Guard that which the Lord has given to you by the Holy Spirit. In these heart-to-heart talks with leaders Lance Lambert covers such topics as the character of God's servants, the way to serve, the importance of anointing, and hearing God's voice. Let us consider together how to remain faithful with what has been entrusted to us.
Do you want to see the church in practical expression on earth in our day? Do you want to see the glory of the latter house exceed that of the former? What is the secret, the key to the source of the life of God in which everything lies inherent? The house of God is going to be built; it must be built. The top stone will be brought forth one day with shouts of "Grace, grace to it." Let us seek the Lord that we may see that day!
What is the church? What is the basis for meeting together as the church? What is true fellowship? What is the priesthood of all believers? What is the difference between unityand uniformity in the church? In this book, the first volume of Gathering Together, Lance Lambert answers these questions andmany more. In doing this, he emphasizes the absolute headship of Christ and the oneness of the bodyof Christ.
Where is God at home? Is He at home in Richmond, VA? Is He at home in Washington? Is He at home in Richmond, Surrey? Is He at home in these other places? Where is God at home? There are thousands of living stones, many, many dear believers with real experience of the Lord, but where has the ark come home?Where are the staves being lengthened that God has finally come home? In God Wants a House Lance looks into this desire of the Lord, this desire He has to dwell with His people. What would this dwelling look like? Let's seek the Lord, that we can say with David,"One thing have I asked of Jehovah, that willI seek after: that I may dwell in the house ofJehovah all the days of my life, To behold thebeauty of Jehovah, And to inquire in his temple."
