This book is on a Nationwide Stakeholders¿ Need Assessment conducted with the objective of launching a PhD in Library and Information Science and two Masters Degrees programs in Records, Archives and Museum Management; as well as Information and Knowledge Management in Department of Information Science at Haramaya University, Ethiopia. A cross-sectional survey; using four categories of questionnaires on a representative sample population of respondents; clustered according to ministries, agencies, universities (public and private) and associations was conducted. 165 representative categories of sample respondents were selected purposively; using a ¿Decision Tree¿ sampling technique. Results revealed 98.9% Stakeholders favoured the launching of the programs; with nomenclatures of ¿PhD in Library and Information Science¿; ¿Masters in Records Management¿ and ¿Masters in Information and Knowledge Management¿. Knowledge and skills needed for the graduates include: Legal and Policy Issues for Information Professionals; Information Policy Analysis and Design; etc. The basic requirement to address market needs is course content, library and computer laboratory and learning resources.
