The Calidon Saga is the story of millions of humans, stolen from Earth over more than two millenia, and brought to populate A new planet far from Earth. They were stolen by a race of humanoid reptilians called the Gozziz. The ostensible reason for bringing humans to Calidon was to grow food for the Gozziz. The secret reason was that the Gozziz had a taste for human flesh that was never satisfied. Fortunately for the humans, the Gozziz were totally destroyed in 1780. After that time, the humans on Calidon were free of the threat of being eaten at any time. The second part of The book details of the creation of a civilization by the survivors, and the dramatic change in their lives that came in the twenty-first century. The Calidon saga is truly the story of triumph over tragedy. Leonard P Tiedt is a retired Social Studies teacher living with his wife in Cedar Rapids Iowa. He is the author of eleven books. His first book, The Visitor, was published in December, 2018..and Lost and Found in 2019. The rest of his books will be published over the coming years.
This is the story of a little android robot stranded on Earth for three years. He is the pilot of a shuttle taking aliens from the mothership to the Earth's surface. He is left behind when the mothership unexpectedly leaves. He eventually ends up unconscious on my patio. I take him inside my (Bob Anderson's) man cave and quickly learn he has the ability to make himself invisible. Book One chronicles my efforts to introduce the robot-who I call OG- to the world without the government seizing him under the cover of national security. I enlist the aid of two prominent Washington journalists. We hope to do a grand reveal before the press of the world, but the FBI finds out about OG, and the chase is on. We try to stay one step ahead while creating a Plan B on the fly. This begins a saga which includes an aborted nuclear war, a real intergalactic war with evil aliens, and ends with Earth joining a powerful galactic Federation. Book Two describes the momentous changes that come to Earth as a result of Federation membership. This is a good read with tons of tantalizing questions for the future.
