Pencil and Paper is a personal chronicle of discovery and encounter. Lorenzo Moreno uses words of light to offer his testimony about the exploration of his geology, geography, and genealogy. He builds on an amalgam of stories to map the tunnels he followed to connect with the Jewish people by reversing the forced conversion to Catholicism of a Sephardic ancestor more than 500 years ago.
A child who wants to be a photograph, the purchase of an ego on credit, words too busy to come to a story, a volcano that takes Viagra to remain active, a mother who migrates to the United States so their children don't have to eat dirt. These are a few of the one hundred allegories of one hundred words in Be Patient!, a book thought for this age of limited attention spans. This second edition of the book includes 15 new allegories which entered the author's mind through the gaps between words. He re-organized the allegories in response to the reactions of readers, reinforced emotional connections, renewed interests, and resurfaced memories. The author continues to recommend reading two allegories daily in the evening. However, he gladly reports that readers who have overdosed don't show any adverse mental effects.
