When Andrew Jackson declared war on the Seminole, he never envisioned battling a people who would become symbols of courage, loyalty and patriotism. Inspired by Chief Osceola, they and their Black allies fought an unjust war of greed and aggression. In the vast, alligator-infested swamps of the Everglades they confounded the U.S. Army. Unable to win militarily, the Seminole were captured under flags of truce and transported to Oklahoma Territory. They are the only tribe never to surrender or sign a peace treaty.
Walk in My Soul is the story of the Cherokee Beloved Woman, Tiana Rogers, and the young Sam Houston who was adopted into her tribe. A Washington Post reviewer wrote, "Tiana is an unforgettable character in a richly detailed, rousingly good story that portrays Native Americans with dignity."

In order to save herself, she must find Oishi, the leader of the fighting men of her clan. She believes he is in the imperial city of Kyoto, three hundred miles away. To reach him she must walk there on the bustling thoroughfare called the Tokaido Road.
In 1638, strong-willed, upper-class Margaret Brent has decided to make better use of her dowry than hand it over to some doddering squire. She uses it to book passage to Lord Baltimore's new colony in the wilds of Terra Maria, Maryland. Also on board is an unwilling passenger, a quick-witted, thirteen-year-old pickpocket named Annicah. Kidnapped off the streets of Bristol she's transported to a life she could not have imagined.
Cliffs of the Severn is a peaceful haven of narrow streets, tall trees, and water views, a perfect setting for a writer like Alice. Then, one of her friends decides to call up an incubus, a male sexual demon. Alice arrives too late to stop the ritual, but just in time to be affected by the infernal forces that have been summoned. Homicide Detective, Nick Shea, also considers the Cliffs a quiet neighborhood, until two dead eagles and a human heart in a take-out carton are found in an unfinished septic tank pit.
Known as the Great Western, six-foot-tall Sarah Bowman was a force of nature. In 1834 she signed on as laundress and cook with General Zachery Taylor's army. In the war with Mexico Sarah became a familiar figure riding through the haze of exploding gunpowder and flames to retrieve the wounded. After she took over for a wounded artilleryman at the siege of Ft. Texas, she was made an honorary member of the Second Artillery. She went on to become what would be, if anyone else were concerned, a tall tale.
Mary's Land is a novel of Lord Baltimore's rowdy colony in 1638. Kirkus Review calls it a "stylish, superior historical... a richly detailed, first rate tale" with, "memorable characters, scenes, and lilting dialogue."
