Funny and audacious it contains colorful stories of his carefree life style and the famous and unusual people who he met along the way. To say that he led a full life is an under statement. Clarke tells the stories in his own distinct style which adds to the enjoyment of yet another interesting biography. This is not so much the story of his life but is a series of stories about happenings in his life. These all add up to make this sequel a light and easy read with a goodly sum of chuckles along the way.A must read if amusement is your goal.

This is a similar styled book as the author's first "Memoirs of a Welshman" but the individual stories are different. The writer again takes you on a light hearted jaunt across three different countries but the fun is still the same. If you like to be amused, you will find it here.Rich with amusing sagas the book rolls out one hillarious episode after another. Again, Like the writer's first book, this is a light hearted and easy read. When the word confessions is used, the author really means it. Luckily the statute of limitations has expired on most of these adventures and so all is well and no repercussions are expected.

Memoirs is a collection of amusing tales told to the reader as only a true raconteur can. Born in Pontypool, where men are men sheep are nervous, and rugby rules the valleys.

A selection of stories depicting the authors travels and interesting people that he meets along the way. This romp is easy to read with many twists and turns. How two Rod Stewarts could end up in one place at the same time must be discovered. How anyone can drink a tropical fish from his beer must also be read to be appreciated.

This book, Clarke's fifth, is another gem of laughable events and is riddled with hilarious anecdotes and stranger than true stories. His travels between Florida, where he now resides, and his homeland of Wales is encapsulated in colorful detailed stories. The described events of his life span a time period of some sixty odd years and include boyhood memories and all the way up to present times. He tells about historic places, from off the beaten track to famous and exotic places and allows the reader to see these locations and the related incidents through his eyes. If you are not able to travel, or perhaps do not know how to find these rare sites, let Clarke be your guide as he will tell in detail what you will find at the end of the journey. The author has also expresses his opinion on some matters, which have puzzled him for some time past and for this he makes no apology. All the troubles of the world will disappear when you decide to engross yourself in the larger that life occurrences which are meticulously catalogued in this book because you will be over awed with the excitement of these annals.

This collage of stories, views and opinions is typical of the straight from the shoulder, no nonsense, type of writing that we have come to expect from the author. In some chapters his empathy for personal friends and local traditions is clear and sincere. This is cleverly balanced by his frustration, concerning certain current events and the political dilemma that these have caused. Some of these issues have been touched on in his previous books but here, in length, he delves into them with more detail. Where his angst bubbles up, from time to time, he is still informed enough to clearly express his concerns. His work, in some places, is light hearted and comedic whereas on other subjects he is clearly sincere and deadly serious. The writer does not pretend to have all the answers to some of today's major issues but his opinions are well thought out and worth considering. Each chapter is a separate story and, in some, his writings are highly amusing whereas in others they are riveting in their clarity. Any opinions expressed, here in, are purely his own as a private citizen and not connected to, or influence by, any political party. In the words of the immortal bard, it is being crazy that quite often stops you from going insane!
