"There are countless verses in the Word of God that define, describe and determine what sins are. And there are almost as many descriptions and examples given of sin as there are verses that speak to it. So please consider with an open mind, as I posit my own definition of sin; a definition I believe can be backed up by all those scriptural references I alluded to.Now, there will be those who read my definition of sin and because they cannot find the exact same words in the Bible anywhere, and they won't, they will dismiss me, maybe even judge me because I did not quote something 'Biblical'. However, I believe that if you ponder and pray, God's Spirit will confirm to your heart and mind that my definition is at the underlining meaning of all those Biblical references. We'll here's to narrow-mindedness, and here's my definition of sin: Any thought, action, or belief of yours that you allow to come between you and God." - From the Forward of 'What Does God's Word Say? - Addiction'Second Chance Ministries - We are a nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) inter-denominational publishing company, educating conservative, politically active Christians about the emotionally charged topics relevant for our times - such publications address issues from abortion to Israel to patriotism. Here we are committed to building a community of courageous believers who will stand united with God and Jesus Christ - no matter what religious denomination you affiliate with. There are many issues facing us today as followers of Jesus Christ; many issues that are politically incorrect, unpopular, and that require us to set aside some of our doctrinal differences in order to bravely make the kind of difference in our world today that our Savior expects of us. We publish, educate and encourage members of our community to actively educate themselves and others about the relevant news, ideas, events and opportunities related to such causes as religious persecution/liberty, Church in politics/government, public school education, and much more. This politically incorrect sermon is designed to provide a 'whack upside the head' for Christians and non-believers alike, who try to rationalize (read: ration lies) how God feels about the murder of these innocent children, and modern forms of idolatry. We call them out on their techniques by parsing words, wresting (twisting) the meaning of the scriptures, and bumper sticker politics. While we decry the sin of abortion and the sins of those who close their eyes to it, we also invite all those who need to repent of these horrible sexual sins to come to Christ and be forgiven. This invitation is tender, and offers healing to the hearts and minds of women and men everywhere, burdened by the guilt associated with the sin of abortion.Second Chance Ministries - We are a nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) inter-denominational publishing company, educating conservative, politically active Christians about the emotionally charged topics relevant for our times - such publications address issues from abortion to Israel to patriotism. Here we are committed to building a community of courageous believers who will stand united with God and Jesus Christ - no matter what religious denomination you affiliate with. The topic of religious persecution and religious freedom is one entangled in a lot of public and political rhetoric. Progressive liberals will attempt to use biblical scriptures and twisted logic to make us, faithful Christians, appear hypocritical in practicing our deeply held spiritual and religious beliefs. As a Christian, if you are not clear about issues such as 'the freedom of religion' and our constitutional and God-given rights, you may find yourself in a pinch with someone who will try to turn the tables on you, and then actually begin persecuting you. Also, we Christians must become more familiar with the literal and legal concepts of God's jurisdiction. For example, in Matthew 22:21, Christ said, "... Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." Do we really know the difference between what is 'Caesar's' and what is 'God's'?Second Chance Ministries - We are a nonprofit, IRS 501(c)(3) inter-denominational publishing company, educating conservative, politically active Christians about the emotionally charged topics relevant for our times - such publications address issues from abortion to Israel to patriotism. Here we are committed to building a community of courageous believers who will stand united with God and Jesus Christ - no matter what religious denomination you affiliate with. For the first 60 years of the 20th century, logging dominated the physical, economic, and social landscape of the Oregon coast. Millions of trees fell to axes and saws. Millions of dollars bought land and machines. Thousands of young men sweated in the forests and swaggered in the towns. Mills from Astoria to Brookings belched smoke and shipped lumber throughout the world. As the industry responded to its worldwide market, it went from boom to bust and back to boom. Every decade brought new technologies that meant fewer loggers could cut more trees and send them to mills faster than ever. This book, which includes historical images from museums, agencies, and personal collections, reveals the dangers and pride loggers experienced as part of their profession and captures the culture of logging as forests shrank and markets grew.

All research libraries and many smaller academic libraries will want to include this work in their collections.?-Choice
