"Meine tapfere Frau" is the Biographic Novel of Arja Kari, the author's wife and soul mate. Born in Finland, Arja's childhood was immersed in the love and succour of her extended family. From these experiences came the self-confidence and courage that allowed her to face the challenges of life. Arja's great thirst for knowledge about other countries and the fascinating people from these different societies began with her ever-growing list of childhood penfriends. Never overly interested in formal studies (except perhaps in languages), Arja's passion was for the school of life. She travelled in her vacation times, paying for her travels by working mostly in hospitals and hostels. It was while on one of these trips that Arja met one of her penfriends who was later to become her husband and partner in life. In Finnland geboren, war ihre Kindheit behütet von der Liebe und Sorge in ihrer weiteren Familie. Aus diesem Hintergrund wuchs ihr Selbstvertrauen mit Mut, welche sie befähigten, den Forderungen des Lebens gegenüber zu treten. Arja entwickelte mit Brieffreundschaften ihr Interesse für viele andere Länder und ihre Menschen. Neben Schule und Studium pflegte sie auch andere Sprachen in ihrem Briefaustausch. Ferienzeit füllte sie gerne mit zu ihrer Zeit noch kleineren Reisen. Die Schule des Lebens war ihr auch wichtig. Für Ausflüge und Reisen kam hauptsächlich sie selbst auf mit Arbeit im Krankenhaus oder Hotels. Auf einer solchen Ferienzeit begegnete Arja einen ihrer Brieffreunde, der später dann ihr Mann war. Gemeinsam fassten sie ihr außergewöhnliches Leben an, welches "Meine tapfere Frau" schaffte.

Zehn Berufe sind hier gewählt in Wirklichkeits-nahen 'Komödianten-Rollen', sowohl ernst genommen, als auch in unterhaltsamem Humor. Ein Jeder spielt seine Rolle, wie er/sie es in ihrem Leben können, mit dem gleichen Ziel, lediglich auf unterschiedlichen Wegen.

Even the worst scenario produced through war can be overcome with a positive attitude which is shown by hope. This novel shows the many paths of life, the family of the author went through, startng with the Concentraton Camp of the father in Siberia, his escape, the dramas at home in Transylvania until life could gain the upper hand again. One unfortunate message however comes out of it : The history of war teaches us that it has never taught us.

We all live in a glasshouse of our own, knowing very little about the other glasshouses around us. Let's therefore get out of our glasshouses for a change and learn more about life in other professions and recognize that we are all more or less comedians. The comedies here, ten very different real-life situations, do not only take this into account but also invite us to look at life with a smile because those who smile live happier and longer.

Migration is a way to self-determine the lives of individuals. The process generally begins with a dislike of individuals to accept certain conditions. It is either the self-determination or the condition itself that drives an individual towards migration ; sometimes a spirit of adventure or even an escape from reality also play their role. Everything in life is delivered to us in parcels; parcels that rarely contain only one option; it depends largely on us as to which option we focus on . We have a good chance to achieve something, when we can see a light at the end of a tunnel. Usually the one who never moves, has the view that they could lose something in that move, which does not fit the entrepreneur. An entrepreneur is the character suitable for migration; he neither faces material nor cultural losses, but rather looks forward to something new in his life, where he plays more of an important and creative role. I relate to you, the reader, but one migrant experience in Australia.
