At the heart of this book lie the powerful universal forces of love/loss, determination, family and the value of tapping into the power that lies within each of us. "Ready for the Next Round" chronicles the journey of a poor sharecropper's son who migrates from the Deep South with his family for a better life in the North. But assimilating into the strange Philadelphia culture comes with its own challenges. Soon he gets caught up in the struggles and complexities of this new world and finds himself in trouble - time in prison, reformatory school and ostracized from family and friends. Later, amidst the backdrop of the Civil Rights Movement, Black Muslim factions, middleweight fights, mingled with bouts of alcoholism and dysfunctional relationships, the narrator ultimately triumphs. In his struggles to find himself, he uses education as his trump card to transform himself from a jitterbug a super-hip streetfied person) to a high school administrator. His story transcends race and class, His story is an American life story. Readers who enjoy reading about the ordinary man who triumphs over struggle will love "Ready for the Next Round". This book shows that one doesn't have to be a famous star in order to achieve and make valuable contributions to society. The message is clear: Young people who've missed the way can find their way back. Maurice Hamilton is a retired New York City high school administrator, Life coach, motivational speaker and author who resides in North Carolina.

Tragedies can occur to us at any time. Somehow, they seem to always happen at the wrong time. We may also feel that they have happened to the wrong persons. "Dear God, what are you doing? This is not supposed to happen to me. This is supposed to happen to poor people of lesser status." Sometimes, however, after a little soul searching, we learn that a traumatic experience has made us re-evaluate our values and that we subsequently gain a new insight that enables us to have a more fulfilling and joyous life. Paul was a 34-year-old, handsome, Caucasian man. He was wealthy, well-educated, and had strong family ties and some good friends. Life was great. After all, he was born into privilege, and along with that advantage came the ability to attain most of the material things he wanted. Furthermore, he was the youngest of four, yet his father, the patriarch of the family, chose him over his older brother and two sisters to run the family's very lucrative luxury auto manufacturing business. He had a beautiful, devoted wife, Sarah, who loved him dearly and would do anything to please him. He has his whole life ahead of him and life couldn't be much better. That is, until, early one fateful morning while riding his bike-as he did every morning-he started experiencing heart palpitations, weakness, fatigue, reduced ability to exercise, lightheadedness, dizziness, confusion, shortness of breath, and finally, chest pain. He was having a stroke. This sudden affliction changed Paul's life permanently. Although he felt very fortunate to be alive, there were times he felt like ending it all and killing himself. It was very difficult to accept that something like this could happen to him. Now, he had to deal with slurred speech, the inability to raise his right arm, and the drooping of the right side of his face. My life is over, "he thought." * Three months passed since the stroke and it was still a nightmare, until one day he got some promising news. There seemed to be a light at the end of this tunnel. Sarah did some research and learned about a new procedure called a brain cell transplant. The question Paul asked was, "Can this new technology return me to normal?" The procedure was still in its infant stages, and although there had been some successes, there were no guarantees and no way to predict how he'd behave after the operation. He became a different person.

A story of true drive now the topic of a major documentaryFounded in 1977 by Sir Frank Williams and Patrick Head, Williams F1 represents the last of the true independent teams; a company devoid of corporate dogma and run by enthusiasts driven by a love of racing and the satisfaction that comes with beating the rest of the world. Since its first Grand Prix victory at Silverstone on 14 July 1979, the team has won a further 116 GPs, delivered seven World Champions - among them Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill - and won nine Constructors Championships. This is the definitive history of the Williams team as told by those who have worked for Williams past and present. At the heart of the book are Sir Frank's personal recollections, along with memories and anecdotes from those at every level: from the shop floor to the upper strata of management; from the mechanics and machinists to the drivers - Mansell, Hill, Alain Prost and Alan Jones among them. It relates both the incredible highs of winning against the odds while never shying the terrible lows - the tragic deaths of Piers Courage in 1970 and Ayrton Senna in 1994 among them.Conveying the history and soul of a unique band of people, Williams F1 explains exactly why the Williams team is held in more affection than any other team in Britain, if not the world.
For the first time, we can explore the story of Alain Prost via the most integral players in the story - from Alain himself to some of the most important men of his team, including John Watson, Tony Jardine and Ron Dennis. This is a truly unique insight into one of the world's greatest drivers in Formula One.
