Do you ever wake up and feel compelled to do something? I woke up at 4 AM and felt compelled to write this story. The entirety of the book was written in the span of four hours. Nothing has changed outside of some spelling fixes. This book is aimed towards current believers of Christianity, although anyone should feel free to read it. Much like how the memory of a dream can fade, I don't remember anything that's written. Hence, I'm just the messenger.

The formula, says Master Painter Michael Bennett, is combining knowledge, quality workmanship, premium products, and the right attitude. Calling upon his more than three decades of experience, Michael has created this intermediate-level instructional and reference guide for interior painting. Far more than a basic "how-to" or cookie-cutter DIY, Interior Architectural Painting: A tradesman's guide takes you through every step of the process of finishing or restoring a room: setup; understanding substrates; tools: how to choose and use them; repairing and preparing surfaces such as plaster, drywall, wood, metal, and masonry; how to identify quality coatings that are oil-based or waterborne and when and where to employ them; application techniques; identifying and solving problems; dos and don'ts; tricks of the trade, and much more.Whether you are a homeowner, a professional, or are planning to hire a contractor, this book will be an invaluable resource and an important addition to your library.
The Secular Sacred starts with a concern for the loss of meaning and moral motivation that followed the decline of religious and traditional values subsequent to the attack on them from relativism and postmodernism. It investigates how we might find a new basis for moral action that rests on a rational and secular foundation. Drawing on Habermas's theory of communicative action it argues that, within communication, there are inherent presuppositions that are universal. This work proposes that we can approach these universals (truth, justice and authenticity) as a basis for an understanding of a secular sense of the sacred.Following a brief critique of multiculturalism The Secular Sacred suggests that religions still articulate an interesting approach to such deep existential issues as loss, suffering and death. All of these fail to find an adequate response in rationalist cultures. It seeks to 'translate' such religious concepts as anamnesis, consolation, the Kingdom of God, the sacred, redemption and sin into a secular framework that can inspire moral motivation.Because reason is an insufficient source of moral motivation it investigate how narratives, which act like myths, can be reflexively constituted and interpreted. The rich symbolic texture of myths can be a powerful means of encouraging people to engage in an identification with the values enshrined in the secular sacred. Myths have a strong connection with ritual practices. It explores this relationship and proposes that it is perfectly possible to create new rituals that consciously know themselves to be rituals and are, nevertheless, able to provide support for the psychological transformations that myths can procure. This reflexive approach to the secular sacred and myths is based on the cognitive, emotional and psychological competence of people. Throughout there is an investigation into how these competencies work and a consideration into a range of aspects of selfhood (autonomy, authenticity, intersubjectivity, decentredness). These competencies, assisted by mythological narratives and rituals, are essential in enabling an identification with a secular sacred that can provide a basis for moral motivation.

An in-depth, full-color, step-by-step guide to the new golf swing that has taken the PGA Tour by stormThe traditional golf swing requires a level of coordination that few golfers have. So it's no surprise that, despite huge advances in club and ball technology, the average golf handicap in America has dropped by only one stroke since 1990. Maverick golf instructors Michael Bennett and Andy Plummer spent a decade researching the swing, eventually combining physiology and physics to create a method they dubbed the "e;Stack and Tilt."e; The result? Big-name pros like Mike Weir, Tommy Armour III, and Aaron Baddeley are already converts, and Bennett and Plummer are now two of the most soughtafter swing coaches in the game. Making these breakthroughs available to everyone, The Stack and Tilt Swing is a handsome, fully illustrated, complete course, packed with more than two hundred full-color photographs that make it easy for golfers at all levels to adopt this radical yet simple approach. Analyzing why the traditional swing won't work for most golfers, the authors explain the importance of keeping the upper body stacked over the lower body, while the spine tilts toward the target during the backswing, greatly reducing the inconsistencies created by the old-fashioned approach. Enhanced with practice routines, a troubleshooting list, test cases, and point-by-point assistance, this is the breakthrough guide to golf's hot new secret weapon.
