For the first time on digital and paperback, relive the first two books of the Studio City series the way the author intended them. Encompassing STUDIO CITY and THE BATTLE OF STUDIO CITY, The Don Hollywood Saga retraces the epic story of the Cruise family as an inprobable proposal by the U.S. government sends them down a path that will result in their ascension among the elite of HOLLYWOOD. Furthermore, it will open even riskier opportunities for global domination of the entertainment industry and beyond...
What started as a feud between old friends has now become a street war for supremacy among small studios in the heart of Hollywood. Whether it be covert guerilla tactics or direct intimidation, Jim Cruise will stop at nothing to be the last man standing. However, he will have to outsmart opponents who respect no rules of engagement. The victor will enjoy the unofficial title of DON HOLLYWOOD.
Jim Cruise is a rising executive in the film and television establishment. Naturally, he has enemies; an ex-brother-in-law, who holds him responsible for his lack of success in business and personal life, and a ex-wife, whom he left for a young starlet. They'll stop at nothing to destroy him. While they prepare, their adversary, with dreams far beyond Hollywood, is plotting behind the scenes, events that will forever change the face of Southern California, the nation and the World. Set against the backdrop of modern celebrity culture, an inevitable confrontation for supremacy will decide, once and for all, the direction of an industry plagued by lust and greed.
Science and religion don't seem to have much in common. Many in science belittle the "superstitions" of religion. And many religions reject the conclusions of science that seem incompatible with their faith. But Becoming Whole reveals an unexpected connection between science and religion. It turns out these two traditions are joined by a fundamental link. There's a simple idea that can bring them both together. It allows us to understand many metaphysical beliefs of philosophy and religion. And it answers scientific questions about phenomena that have remained a mystery until now - such as how some things can happen at faster-than-light speed. The central idea of the book provides a key to understanding why the world is the way it is. One idea allows us to see how everything fits together - how everything is a part of all other things. It's all about Becoming Whole.
