It was formidable and impenetrable... a behemoth of logs blocking the Red River as far as the eye could see, stretching for over one hundred miles. The logjam - dubbed the "Red River Raft" - choked the river and denied passage there. It shaped both the terrain and history of Louisiana and Northeast Texas.

The 23rd Psalm is a short little chapter of the Bible; there are only six verses and 118 words in the King James Version of the Psalm, and seventeen of them are pronouns in the first person. It is that personal element that makes the Psalm so incomparably powerful and appealing in its message - it finds an echo in the heart of all humanity. If you study the passage, contemplate its message, and believe it in your heart, then your life will begin to change in ways that you can't even begin to comprehend. A magnificent plan for your life is spelled out exactly in the words of the 23rd Psalm... it is waiting inside the pages of this book for you to discover.

To learn that the Bible has accounts not only of spirits returning from the other side, but also of Spirit Travel or Astral Projection. Not only that, but Jesus himself gave a definitive description of ghosts as he spoke about them not once, but twice to his disciples - and at no time condemned or denied their existence. The Light at the Top of the Mountain examines not only the case studies of ghosts in the pages of the Bible, but also looks at the ancient laws regarding familiar spirits that are sometimes still invoked today to cast an unfavorable light on the supernatural. Be careful - if you read this book and study your Bible, you may find that the supernatural world around us is not only very real, but is a creation of God that he wants us to explore and enjoy. The Light at the Top of the Mountain might very well change the way that you look at life itself!

What if you were told that you had only twelve days to live? And what if that pronouncement was not given by a physician or surgeon, but instead by a young woman who claimed to be a divine messenger... and she had a gift to offer? What if you could not ignore her words? Even though your doctor gives you a clean bill of health, and life seems to be going along as smooth as ever, if what she said was correct, then every day, every hour, every second that passed was bringing you closer to your own death. And what if you believed in your heart that every word she said was true? In The Midnight Saint, an ordinary man is faced with extremely extraordinary circumstances, and his world is turned upside-down as his last twelve days tick slowly away...

Jefferson, Texas, began as a simple ferry crossing on the Big Cypress Bayou. By 1841, Allen Urquhart had realized the potential for a town at this spot and purchased 640 acres. Daniel Alley bought the adjacent tract, and the city of Jefferson was born. The town flourished as a steamship port during the 1800s and became the second-largest city in Texas. Steamboats from as far south as New Orleans would dock in Jefferson, unloading travelers and freight before taking on new cargo and starting on the return trip. When the water levels in the bayou eventually fell, Jefferson was no longer accessible by steamship, and the population began to dwindle. Many saw this as the end of the city. However, the 1960s brought a rebirth to the town, and today Jefferson shares its rich history with travelers from across the nation.
