Conversion of industrial by products and agricultural biomass into value added product is beneficial for us like decrease of waste biomass and the economic calculation become more attractive. The most important benefit for us, the use of agricultural bio-waste into value added products is that its saves our environment from different kinds of pollution (Mussatto and Teixeira 2010). About last some years the most important discussion arises a new fight in food industries due to the energetic use of raw material. Instead of any ethical concern it should be most comprehensible way according to economic benefits.
Ethanol and Xylitol: Production and Applications describes use of plant biomass for production, characterization and applications of ethanol and xylitol through acid, alkali and enzyme hydrolysis of plant waster material. It also includes analysis and potential uses of by-products from this fermentation process. The characterization of ethanol and xylitol and its potential for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications have been described. Recent advances and research work in this field has also been described.
