Purtroppo, questa importantissima risorsa naturale è minacciata da una serie di fattori di declino, tra cui l'attività umana e i rapidi cambiamenti climatici che portano alla siccità.L'obiettivo di questo lavoro è identificare le caratteristiche morfologiche e anatomiche adattive che possono essere utilizzate per discriminare tra popolazioni di cedro marocchino geograficamente distanti.

A sua elevada produção de madeira, a sua qualidade notável, a sua longevidade e a sua resistência à compressão fazem dela uma fonte de rendimento vital para as populações locais e uma fonte importante de atividade económica. Infelizmente, este recurso natural muito importante está ameaçado por uma série de factores de declínio, incluindo a atividade humana e as rápidas alterações climáticas que conduzem à seca.O objetivo deste trabalho é identificar características morfológicas e anatómicas adaptativas que possam ser utilizadas para discriminar entre populações de cedro marroquino geograficamente distantes.

The Atlas cedar (Cedrus atlantica (Endl.) G.Manetti ex Carrière) is a species endemic to the mountains of Morocco and Algeria; a noble resinous species par excellence that is of interest in several respects. Indeed, thanks to its high production of high-quality timber, its longevity and resistance to compression, it is a vital source of income for the local population and provides considerable economic activity. Unfortunately, this very important natural resource is threatened by a number of decline factors, including anthropogenic activity and the rapid evolution of the climate towards drought.The aim of this work is to identify adaptive morphological and anatomical traits that can discriminate between geographically distant Moroccan cedar populations.

Die Atlaszeder (Cedrus atlantica (Endl.) G.Manetti ex Carrière) ist eine endemische Art in den Bergen Marokkos und Algeriens; eine edle Harzart par excellence, die in vielerlei Hinsicht Interesse weckt. Denn durch ihre gute Produktion an Nutzholz von bemerkenswerter Qualität, ihre Langlebigkeit und Druckfestigkeit stellt sie eine Lebensquelle der Bevölkerung dar und sorgt für eine beträchtliche Wirtschaftstätigkeit. Diese sehr wichtige natürliche Ressource ist leider durch mehrere Absterbefaktoren bedroht, darunter die anthropogene Aktivität und die schnelle Entwicklung des Klimas in Richtung Trockenheit.Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Identifizierung von adaptiven morphologischen und anatomischen Merkmalen, die eine Unterscheidung zwischen den geographisch entfernten marokkanischen Zedernpopulationen ermöglichen.
