Tranquility, peaceful, serenity to death somehow makes the beach ruthless yet loving. The past four decades have changed this country dramatically. The 1960s' and the 1970s' at South beach, what it was and what it has become at South beach. The Pier built in 1924 became the most popular place to go party. The transformation has come full circle and once again is worldwide known as the place to be. Is it a coincidence that Miami Beach is the United States mainland point of the Bermuda Triangle? The roaring twenties, cars driving to the south most point of Miami Beach for dances and the most popular burlesque spot in Miami Florida. Honky-tonk bars at the entrance of the pier that extended out onto the ocean make for a couple of drinks before dancing the night away. The burlesque house at the end of the pier built on the water. Too bad a barge broke loose during the 1926 hurricane and took down Minsky's Burlesque, but the pier remained for the dances and fishermen to enjoy. This was the popular spot to be for years to come. Leaving many to ask questions which only can be answered by one's inner soul. Do we need a platform to change, or is our destiny written in stone? Our past has altered who we have become, what will the future form?
