This book contains short descriptions of everyday occurrences with my son Marc who was diagnosed with Autism Syndrome Disorder in 2005. In each occurrence I share with you how God spoke through my son to shape and mold me. I describe how the Great I AM allowed me to see that He (Marc) Is just like me and in turn created in the image and likeness of Himself. I pray as you read, you find value in every moment, every day, every breath and thank God for that which you think is bad or deemed "not normal." Realize that ALL things work together for the good of them who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Have you ever been in a place where you knew, without a shadow of a doubt, God was speaking directly to you? Have you ever prayed about a situation and finally God answered and you knew immediately you had to move? That was me on October 31, 2020, in the midst of COVID-19. My life changed as a result of me tuning in to hearing from the Lord and then moving on His command.I suffered from low self esteem for a long time. I could always mask it well. I was taught early to put on a smile and never let anyone know what was really going on. I had become an introvert to shield and protect myself from people getting to close to me because the closer someone got, the more I feared they would figure out what was really going on in my household , my life, and my head. I lived a life of fear, hopelessness. doubt, unworthiness, hurt, anger, self hate, self pity, jealousy, and depression.On October 31, 2020, I got a word from the Lord. That word was "Released!" When I got it, I instantaneously felt a shifting, as if weight was coming off me. I had prayed about situations going on in my life...and with one word from the Lord, it began to shift.Please don't think it was an easy journey for me, and don't think the journey is over . This book is about the process. This book contains my actual personal journal entries during one of the most difficult yet rewarding times of my life. Why share my personal journal?I do not believe God allows us to make it through trials for us to keep it to ourselves. We all know trials come to make us strong, but they are also testimonies designed for the building of the Kingdom. If you don't know how to journal, maybe this will help. If you don't know how to have a relationship with God, maybe this will help. If you are afraid to move on the word God has given you, maybe this will help. If you are afraid to speak up because you think someone will judge, maybe this will help. If you don't know where to start...this will help. This too is part of my process.

Better Together will walk you through the lives of Esther, Ruth and Naomi, Mary and Elizabeth, and Hannah. Many books have been written about these women of the Bible, but I want you to look at these stories through a different lens. I want you to see how these women were able to accomplish incredible feats because of the other women in their lives. Women who undergirded them, walked with them, stuck with them, and prayed with them. Women who helped and pushed them to accomplish God's will for them and helped them become examples for us today. I hope their stories will inspire you and help you be an example to someone else. I'm an avid reader, an amateur cook, and a wanna-be writer. I love trying new recipes, learning new things, and sharing everything I know with anyone who will listen. I'm the mother of three adults and Ya Ya to six little ones. Some of my favorite past times are spending time with my grandkids, watching movies, or spending a leisurely day drinking coffee. I have been an office manager, an administrative assistant, and a real estate agent, but most days, you can find me studying (mostly God's word) and writing books.
