Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Entwicklung einer Selbsterfahrungsgruppe. Dazu werden zunächst ausgewählte Prozessmodelle, welche zum Kanon der Fachrichtung "Dynamische Gruppenpsychotherapie" zählen, vorgestellt. Weiteres wird das von Gottfried Fischer entwickelte "Allgemeine dialektische Veränderungsmodell", das bislang nur in der Einzeltherapie zur Anwendung kam, präsentiert. Dabei wird vor allem die Frage in den Fokus gerückt, inwiefern Fischers Modell nicht nur für Einzelpsychotherapie, sondern auch für die Arbeit mit Gruppen passend und hilfreich sein könnte. Aus der Reflexion wurde die Hypothese gewonnen, dass es sich - mit kleinen Modifikationen - gerade auch für Gruppenpsychotherapie mit mehrfachem Gewinn anwenden ließe und die bestehende Theorielandschaft um wichtige Perspektiven bereichern könnte. Dieser Weg - vom Modell Fischers und zurück zu seinem möglichen Nutzen in der Gruppenpraxis - wird abschließend argumentativ beleuchtet.
