This book is a collection of poems and other essays I have written in the past three years. Recently, I have felt led to compile and publish these writings. Interspersed between the poems and writings are fractal designs I have created. I hope the words and fractal designs touch your heart and soul as much as they have mine.

Welcome to my latest non-fiction work dedicated to poetry. I have a routine. Every night about a half hour to an hour prior to bed, I will sit in the dark with music playing softly in the background. During this time, I just let my mind wander. Sometimes my mind is a complete blank. Most times, thoughts flitter in and out so quickly, I cannot catch them. Other times, the words are so strong, the voices so loud, there is no denying them. I must set them free. The poems in this book are the words and voices set free. As they were born during my nightly routine, I have named this work Nocturnal Musings.

In 2011, I participated in an A - Z blogging challenge. The challenge consisted of writing a blog posting incorporating each letter of the alphabet for the month of April every day except Sundays. As if writing a daily blog posting wasn't challenging enough, I opted to create essays revolving around obscure words. Needless to say, I found some interesting words to write about.
