This is a print on demand pub. Raymond D'Aguilers, chaplain of Count Raymond IV of Toulouse, wrote an eyewitness account of the crusades entitled "Historia Francorum qui ceperunt Iherusalem." His 12th-cent. history has influenced later historians in their accounts of the First Crusade and has led to many misinterpretations. This translation offers a clearer understanding of the crusades; it catches the spirit of the chaplain and reveals the suffering and misgivings of the clerics who journeyed to Jerusalem.
