Zwischen den 1870er und 1900 war Afrika europäischen imperialistischen Aggressionen, diplomatischem Druck, militärischen Invasionen und eventueller Eroberung und Kolonialisierung ausgesetzt.Während der Berliner Konferenz von 1884 unter dem Vorsitz von Otto von Bismarck aus Deutschland wurde der Kampf um und die Teilung Afrikas formalisiert. Die europäischen Länder sandten Agenten aus, um sogenannte Schutzverträge mit den Führern afrikanischer Gesellschaften, Staaten, Königreiche, dezentraler Gesellschaften und Reiche zu unterzeichnen. Nachdem afrikanische Herrscher festgestellt hatten, dass sie tatsächlich betrogen worden waren und die europäischen Mächte nun politische Autorität in ihrem Land durchsetzen und ausüben wollten, organisierten sie sich militärisch, um der Beschlagnahme ihres Landes und der Auferlegung kolonialer Herrschaft zu widerstehen.

The reformation which was started by Martin Luther in 1517, gave rise to the Puritans who fled from Europe because of the persecutions and went to the land which came to be known as, the United States of America (USA) and a new nation was given birth to, basing on Christian principles.The Puritans risked their lives to cross the ocean in the Mayflower because they were fleeing from religious persecution. They were named Puritans, a derogatory term for their brand of extreme Christianity - and things went badly for them in England in the last half of the 16th century. The persecution they faced in England was genuine. People were killed for their beliefs. So they fled to Holland, hoping for better reception of their particular beliefs. The trouble is, the Dutch were far too tolerant and libertine for the severe Puritans, however, the Puritan Pilgrims left Holland for the "New World" not to escape religious persecution, but because they were not allowed to impose their extreme code of morality on those around them. They were not allowed to inflict their beliefs on people who did not share their beliefs.The Puritan pilgrims, became the Founding Fathers of USA, though some of these had some diverse beliefs such as, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Thomas Paine were Deists. (For those unfamiliar with Deism, it acknowledges a creator but disavows any sort of interaction between the creator and the creation. In other words, God made the world but left us to our own devices, not conversing with us through holy writings, revelations, or prayers.) Alexander Hamilton was Anglican. James Madison called himself Anglican but was more of a Deist. John Adams was a Congregationalist early on, but he converted to Unitarianism. John Jay was an Orthodox Christian etc, never the less, God used them to begin a God fearing Christian nation in the names of USA.

The word glory means, what God is and has in Him reveled. The glory is the concentrated or manifested presence of God.There are three types of God's presence recorded in scripture.1.The omnipresent presence; This denotes God being everywhere! This denotes the presence of God which enters in one after accepting Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior. John 14:17 (b) "....shall be in you". He does the work of sanctification after He enters into a person.3.The manifested presence (The glory of God). Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth". The glory of God empowers us to become coworkers with God.There are different kinds of God's glories and these two deserve to be mentioned; Doxa glory and Shekinah glory. The Shekinah glory is discussed at length in this book and the instances in the modern history when the shekinah glory showed up, are discussed lengthily in this book.
