The problem with most generalized Buyer's Guides is their lack of detail. In an attempt to cover every model that was ever constructed, much of the necessary data has to be omitted. While these books make interesting reading, the potential buyer that has already determined which model he or she wants to purchase, will be sorely disappointed with the woefully inadequate information they contain. Not so with this book! More than just a Buyer's Guide, it's a complete guide to the purchase and ownership of a 308 series Ferrari and includes a wealth of data for the owner once the car has been purchased. Consisting of three major sections, the first section helps the reader understand the history of Ferrari and the introduction and development of the 308 series cars. The second section will help you decide how, what, when and where to purchase and the third section will assist you in keeping your new acquisition in top condition with hints and tips on maintenance, repair and even modification. If you already own a 308, then this book will help you get the most enjoyment from your ownership and will prepare you for what potential buyers will be looking for when it comes time to sell. A well-written book by a respected authority on late model Ferraris and no 308 enthusiast should be without a copy.
For a nation that declares Freedom to be our number one priority, it seems that there are so many of us, at a gut-level, who feel less freedom than ever. Why is that? Americans are working harder than ever to obtain financial success and material possessions, yet the dream seems to become more elusive. The typical American is trading away more and more of their time for a lifestyle they hope to experience someday. They hope that the time they trade away today comes back to them in the form of the good-life tomorrow. How's that working out?So, where do we find abundant life? What should we pursue? In "Lifeonaire: Living Life Abundantly," Steve Cook answers these questions by challenging us to reconsider what it is that we really desire out of our lives. Through this story, he shares how Americans blindly pursue a lifestyle of money and possessions in hopes that it will reward them with what they truly want-an abundant life. They want to be a LIFEONAIRE!
A short story about the end of the universe. Things could have been a lot worse. "Check out . . . "Spilt Milk" it got me hooked!" PD
A light-hearted time travel adventure from Steve Cook. The British steal a march on their enemies by inventing time travel and sending an army sergeant on a scouting mission back in time. What could possibly go wrong?
Between 1947 and 1956, approximately 15 copies of the "Book of Jubilees" were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls. This is second only in number to Psalms, Deuteronomy, Isaiah, Exodus, and Genesis, and far greater than any other extra-biblical text found there, including "The Book of Enoch. Also called the "The Little Genesis," "Book of Divisions," and the "Apocalypse of Moses," the "Book of Jubilees" is an apocryphal work (not accepted as Scripture) which historians believe was delivered to Moses by God on Mount Sinai. It was almost lost over thousands of years, but was retrieved from the Ethiopic language. It re-interprets the contents of Genesis 1 - Exodus 12 (or according to some scholars, Genesis 1 - Exodus 15:22 or Exodus 16), which are here arranged in 49 periods, each of 49 years in length, the whole forming a Jubilee of Jubilees (Lev 25: 8-13). The Book also gives additional details such as the fall of the angels, and the creation and destruction of the Nephilim detailing that one-tenth of their disembodied spirits would stay on earth as demons to tempt people and the rest would be imprisoned until the Tribulation Period. The Oxford Christian Dictionary states, "The original Hebrew text survives only in fragments found in the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran. Up until their discovery, the work was known only from an Ethiopic translation of the whole and incomplete versions in Latin and Syriac. The fact that the surviving Hebrew fragments are from at least 12 different caves indicates that the Book enjoyed considerable popularity among the Qumran community." (The Oxford Dictionary of the Christian Church, s.v. "Jubilees, Book of." Page 905.)
This tale details how the Earth's first interstellar war was accidentally started by the residents of a small Lincolnshire village. But it's no good blaming the Earthlings. If the aliens had made their true intentions clear from the outset, none of this would have happened.
A book of verse by the writer Steve Cook, containing an eclectic mix of poetry in a variety of styles.
As part of the continuing mission to activate more of God's Word in people's daily lives, Memo Devo 2.0 helps you memorize 10 more foundational passages of Scripture through the process of "Active Scripture Memorization". But, wait a minute. Isn't that redundant?Isn't all Scripture is supposed to be "living and active" already? (Heb4_12) Ahh, yes, but it's not the Scripture that needs activating. It's the memorization. For centuries, people have memorized and spoken back God's Word to each other in long form with powerful, reckless results for the Kingdom. In fact, up until about 500 years ago, it was our primary means of meditation, since most of us were illiterate. But from the invention of that first printing press back in 1439 to the roll out of the latest iPad, Bible memorization has slowly become a more text-based enterprise, usually done in isolation, with more personal goals in mind rather than for worship. It is no longer the active communal expression of love for Jesus that it was back in the 1st Century and therefore, I believe, we no longer experience all of its deep spiritual benefits; benefits which Jesus Himself promised! (Jn8_31-32, Jn15_7-8, Jn17_17) But what if we made a conscious effort to revive that experience? What if we re-introduced the radically ancient concept of Active Scripture Memorization back into our homes and churches? I believe we would see that the simple act of speaking back long memorized passages of Scripture to each other in community has the power to help transform our walk with Jesus. I believe we would experience better intimacy with God, a better witness for God, and better protection under God, all while using time and resources we already possess. One of the keys to 1st Century-style revival, is more 1st Century-style Bible study. Memo Devo 2.0 is designed to help you do that.
WTB_Mark is a ground-breaking stage adaptation of Mark's Gospel in two Acts, based on Steve Cook's audio recording, "Witness The Bible: Mark". It contains a cinematic underscore of music and sound effects, over which the action is meticulously timed out. The result is a powerful activation of Scripture. It is prop-less with a very simple set and costumes and runs about 90 minutes with one intermission. It is designed to replicate what Bible study must have been like in the 1st Century Church, when most believers were illiterate.
Found in the Apocrypha, The Books of I & II Esdras use supplemental materials taken from II Chronicles and Nehemiah to revise the book of Ezra, which is contained in the Bible. Esdras is the Greek form of Ezra, which is Hebrew. The story about the King of Persia questioning the three young men is found in this book as well. The King asks the three to enter into a debate over his question, "What is the strongest thing in the world?" He promises to reward the winner with a prize. This book is not included in the Roman Catholic Bible. In 2 Esdras, Ezra has conversations with angels who are sent to him so he can question them about theology. There is an amazing account that describes the loss of all Hebrew Scriptures during the Babylonian exile of the Jews. In the story, Ezra recites these Scriptures perfectly, inspired by God. Ezra dictates the Scriptures to five scribes exactly. He also dictated seventy secret books which were to be read only by wise people. Second Esdras is said to be included as one of these seventy additional books. Understanding the Importance of the Apocrypha: In modern times, the Apocrypha has only been excluded from the Old Testament in some Protestant publications. The idea that these books are forbidden is viewed both as myth and fact by many Christian scholars, with the reasonable course left in the midst of divided opinion being to study and understand these books. The New Testament is said to contain many references to the books of the Apocrypha, and Christians today must be knowledgeable about them. Jesus himself is said to reference texts from the Apocrypha using the Old Testament language which was familiar to those he was teaching. There are many comparisons which can be made between specific New Testament texts and related Apocrypha texts. It is also interesting to note that the Apostolic Fathers of the Early Church referenced the Apocrypha, and quoted from it as they did the Old Testament. It was hard not to do so, as the Jewish Old Testament included the Apocrypha. Much debate over which books should be considered part of the scripture continued as history evolved and time moved further away from the era in which the original texts were written. Various church councils made different decisions about what should be included and which should not, and these decisions are reflected in history. But, ALL Christians who are serious about their walk in the Christian faith should read the Apocrypha, ponder its place in Christian history, compare what the great church scholars have said concerning it, consider why Jesus himself referred to it, and understand its significant contributions to the ultimate message of salvation made available by Jesus the Messiah.

Will becoming a Millionaire really set you free? How about the American Dream? If we, as a nation, declare freedom to be our number one priority, then why do so many of us, at a gut-level, feel less freedom than ever? Americans are working harder than ever to obtain financial success and material possessions based on the delusion that more will lead to a better life. The typical American is trading away the vast majority of their life in hopes that, someday, they will have enough to experience 'the good life.' Meanwhile, this tradeoff is the very thing that is robbing them of their freedom and the ability to enjoy an abundant life... right now. So, where do we find freedom? What should we pursue? In Lifeonaire: An Uncommon Approach to Wealth, Success, and Prosperity, Steve Cook answers these questions by challenging us to consider what it is that we really desire out of life. Through this fictional story, he shares how Americans blindly pursue financial wealth-thinking that money will reward them with what they want-and helping us to discover that our heart's desire is to become more than just a Millionaire… what we really desire is to become a Lifeonaire.
