Though different titles of plant protection books are available, no book is as much illustrative as the present book of Plant Health Medicines. The book ''A Handbook on Plant Health Medicines" is prepared with an objective to make available the scientific as well as working knowledge of useful and recommended plant protection and plant health medicines to the personnel associated with agriculture in different capacities and at different levels, and to the end users, i.e. farmers.The book contains three sections viz. chemical molecules for control of plant diseases, chemical molecules to control plant physiological process and physiological disorders, and Pesticides for management of plant insect pests. These three sections are divided into 30 chapters. The respective section has got images of all the representative diseases, pests, as well as mineral deficiencies symptoms for the identification of the cause and different molecules for their control and rectification, thus making the book more practical use oriented to all personnel associated with agriculture sector. With its availability particularly, to pesticide shop dealers and farmers, the proper plant protection and plant health medicines will be applied in the agricultural ecosystem to manage the problem associated with plant health.

The fungi as microbe is present everywhere; in mountains and soil crust; in water and water bodies like rivers, oceans, lakes, ponds and glaciers; on plant surfaces, food grains, fruits and vegetables; on de-composting materials; on fabrics and leather in damp weather; air cooling systems; in environmental air outside and inside homes; on animals and human body parts etc.The well develop fungal growth can be seen with naked eyes on some of the material, while the fungal structures are only visible in microscope. These fungal microbe are harmful as pathogens to cause diseases in crop plants, food product, fruits and vegetables, in human being, animals, birds and marine wealth etc. However, some of the fungal species are beneficial to mankind, agriculture and environment. These are sources of food products, antibiotics, enzymes, organic acids, plant nutrient supplier, composting agents, biological control agents and so on.Most of us are unaware of all these facts about this fungal microbe, as this knowledge is not yet passed on to the generations although they play important role in our life at one or other point of time. It is a high time for all of us to know about this fungal microbe and the role they play in our life.

Quarantine has emerged as a most referred and used word in 2019-2020 for the human being around the world. The recent attack of locust in Sub-Saharan region upto Indian continent has impacted the agriculture due to this invasive alien species. Several examples of diseases and pest threats are encountered the agricultural crop production, bioversity and ecological environment of the region. Plant quarantine regulations in different regions of the world helps to save the damage from such invasive alien species. The sudden emergence of plant pathogen including viruses may surprise the common and government establishments. Therefore, knowledge on subject of plant quarantine in context to invasive alien species is atmost important issue. At present this knowledge is lacking, the literature is scattered and there is no upto date book available on this subject.
