Luke, while probably never having met the Savior, gives us some of the deepest insights into the life of Christ of any New Testament author. Rather than walk with Jesus, he communed with the Holy Spirit. That gave him, as he called it, "A Perfect Understanding" of our Savior's time here on Earth. In his Gospel he shares that understanding. As we prayerfully study the stories and lessons, as we watch Jesus interact with His disciples and others we find what it really means to be a follower of Christ. That is the lesson of Luke and, hopefully, the message of this book.
The Amulet of Miraculous Reversal is a collection of High Fantasy stories. No werewolves or angels haunt its pages. In these stories we return to a time when the Roman Empire is collapsing, and the long night of the Dark Ages is descending over Europe. One group of people have fled to Tredegar, an island in the Bay of Biscay. There they find refuge from the barbarians that are pulling down civilization. However, the island is not without its own dangers. A haunted forest fills Tredegar's center, and that forest is home to ogres and trolls, sirens and fairies, and many other creatures such as dragons. One man, Garth Reese, struggles to keep his family safe from the creatures of the forest. This book is his saga and tells of five of his battles with trolls, ogres, sirens, magicians, and even a dragon. His only aid in his adventures is his magical appurtenance, The Amulet of Miraculous Reversal.
