SEPHER YETZIRAH The "Sepher Yetzirah," or "Book of Formation," is perhaps the oldest Rabbinical treatise of Kabalistic philosophy which is still extant. The great interest which has been evinced of 1ate years in the Hebrew Kabalah, and the modes of thought and doctrine allied to it, has induced me to translate this tractate from the original Hebrew texts, and to collate with them the Latin versions of mediaeval authorities; and I have also published An Introduction to the Kabalah which may be found useful to students. GRIMORIUM VERUM THE MOST APPROVED KEYS OF SOLOMON THE HEBREW RABBI WHEREIN THE MOST HIDDEN SECRETS, BOTH NATURAL AND SUPERNATURAL ARE IMMEDIATELY EXHIBITED GRIMOIRE OF TURIEL A SYSTEM OF CEREMONIAL MAGIC THE GREAT ARCANUM (The Rites of Ceremonial Magick) THE BLACK PULLET Comprising the Science of Magical Talismans and Rings; the art of Necromancy and the Kabbalah, for conjuring the aerial and infernal spirits, sylphs, undines, and gnomes; for acquiring knowledge of the secret sciences; for discovering treasures, for the gaining of power to command all beings, and for unmasking all evil spells and sorceries GRIMOIRE OF HONORIOUS A grimoire designed for the person who desires to invoke the perverse "Spirits of Darkness".

All profits from this international anthology of poetry published by Bennison Books will go to The Book Bus, a charity which aims to improve child literacy rates in Africa, Asia and South America by providing children with books and the inspiration to read them. Published and previously unpublished poets from around the world have contributed to this anthology including the award-winning Carol Rumens, who also wrote the foreword. In total, the work of about 40 poets from a number of different countries worldwide is featured in this anthology. They include the Forward Prize finalist, Beverley Bie Brahic; the inaugural winner of the John Knight Memorial Poetry Manuscript Prize, Vanessa Kirkpatrick; and winner of the Seamus Heaney Centre Prize, Katharine Towers, who was also shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Award. The poets have donated their poetry free of charge so that all profits will go to The Book Bus. The following is an extract from Carol Rumens' foreword: The title of this anthology, Indra's Net, was suggested by one of its poets, the late Cynthia Jobin. She explained: "Indra's net is a metaphor for universal interconnectedness. It's as old as ancient Sanskrit and as 'today' as speculative scientific cosmology. It's what came to mind when thinking about nets and webs and interconnectedness ... and jewels and poems." There are many ways in which the metaphor suits the anthology. It's a book filled with poetic gems, of course, the work of a happy mixture of new and well-known writers, including prizewinning poets like Beverley Bie Brahic and Katharine Towers. The poems connect: poems always do. The poets may have shared their work and reached their global readership via the Internet. And then there's the most important net of all, described by Wallace Stevens as "The magnificent cause of being, / The imagination, the one reality/ In this imagined world ..." Readers will enjoy this varied and accessible anthology, and have the added satisfaction of knowing their purchase is helping to hand on the pleasure and power of language. They will have added another small jewel to Indra's net.
Songs inspire a melody of emotional responses. They conjure up memories of otherwise forgotten times, and moods swing from light to dark with their rhythm. Their lyrics evoke response, from being lost in that single moment to simply singing in the shower. This collection of stories inspired by songs has been created by WordPlay Writers' Forum, with its creation inspired and conducted by Maggie Chapman. You'll find some of the stories stick to their song's conventional tale, while others go way off the beaten track. Some draw on personal experiences, transporting their reader to a place of reverie and laughter, or simply persuade a subconscious moment deep in thoughts of what might have been. Come inside and lose yourself in the harmony between the written word and the song, and rediscover all of your "would haves, could haves, and should haves".
Poetry Leaves is a collection of poems submitted by poets, both experienced and novice alike, for Waterford Township Public Library's Poetry Leaves Project in appreciation of National Poetry Month in 2019.
Most of us have a theory of what the home should be, but it is stowed away with the wedding gifts of fine linen that are cherished for our permanent abode. We believe in harmony of surroundings, but after living, within a period of ten years or so, in seven different apartments with seven different arrangements of rooms and seven different schemes of decoration, we lose interest in suiting one thing to another. Harmony comes to mean simply good terms with the janitor.

Social media, texting and the Internet have given oppressed people the power to organize, communicate dissent and help lead revolutions throughout the world. While the Arab Spring in 2011 brought attention to "Facebook revolutions" in Tunisia, Egypt and other nations, the rise of global free speech around the world was happening in many more places for many more years. This collection of PBS MediaShift stories from 2006 to 2013 goes from China to Burma to Russia to Southern Sudan and beyond, looking at how average people used technology and social media to discuss and organize in places where governments cracked down on free expression.

Christmas Summary Classics This series contains summary of Classic books such as Emma, Arne, Arabian Nights, Pride and prejudice, Tower of London, Wealth of Nations etc. Each book is specially crafted after reading complete book in less than 30 pages. One who wants to get joy of book reading especially in very less time can go for it. About The Book There is as much doubt about the history of "The Thousand and One Nights" as that which veils the origin of the Homeric poems. It is said that a certain Caliph Shahryar, having been deceived by his wife, slew her, and afterwards married a wife only for one day, slaying her on the morning after. When this slaughter of women had continued some time he became wedded to one Shahrazad, daughter of his Vizir, who, by telling the Commander of the Faithful exciting stories and leaving them unfinished every dawn, so provoked the Caliph's curiosity that he kept her alive, and at last grew so fond of her that he had no thought of putting her to death. As for the authorship of the stories, they are certainly not the work of one mind, and have probably grown with the ages into their present form. The editions published for Christian countries do not represent the true character of these legends, which are often exceedingly sensual. The European versions of this extraordinary entertainment began in 1704 with the work of one Antoine Galland, Professor of Arabic at the College of France, a Frenchman who, according to Sir Richard Burton, possessed "in a high degree that art of telling a tale which is far more captivating than culture or scholarship." Sir R. Burton (see Vol. XIX) summed up what may be definitely believed of the Nights in the following conclusion: The framework of the book is purely Persian perfunctorily Arabised, the archetype being the Hazar Afsanah. The oldest tales may date from the reign of Al-Mansur, in the eighth century; others belong to the tenth century; and the latest may be ascribed to the sixteenth. The work assumed its present form in the thirteenth century. The author is unknown, "for the best reason; there never was one." For more eBooks visit www.kartindo.com

INTRODUCTION THE campfire for ages has been the place of council and friendship and story-telling. The mystic glow of the fire quickens the mind, warms the heart, awakens memories of happy, glowing tales that fairly leap to the lips. The Boy Scouts of America has incorporated the "campfire" in its program for council and friendship and story-telling. In one volume, the Boy Scouts Book of Campfire Stories makes available to scoutmasters and other leaders a goodly number of stories worthy of their attention, and when well told likely to arrest and hold the interest of boys in their early teens, when "stirs the blood--to bubble in the veins." At this time, when the boy is growing so rapidly in brain and body, he can have no better teacher than some mighty woodsman. Now should be presented to him stirring stories of the adventurous lives of men who live in and love the out-of-doors. Says Professor George Walter Fiske: "Let him emulate savage woodcraft; the woodsman's keen, practiced vision; his steadiness of nerve; his contempt for pain, hardship and the weather; his power of endurance, his observation and heightened senses; his delight in out-of-door sports and joys and unfettered happiness with untroubled sleep under the stars; his calmness, self-control, emotional steadiness; his utter faithfulness in friendships; his honesty, his personal bravery." The Editor likes to think that quite a few of the stories found in the Boy Scouts Book of Campfire Stories present companions for the mind of this hardy sort, and hopes, whether boys read or are told these stories, they will prove to be such as exalt and inspire while they thrill and entertain.
