A lo largo de su vida editó más de una veintena de obras; pese a su producción abundante, Hunt no solo fue reconocida por su pluma, sino también por organizar salones literarios que celebraba en su casa y que reunían a distinguidos autores y autoras de la época y por participar activamente en organizaciones de escritores. Fue fundadora de la Women Writer’s Sufrague League y participó también en la fundación del PEN Club International.
