AUTHORSHIP: Paul is the author. He is nearing the end of his ministry. Paul is now in his sixties and is at freedom after his first imprisonment in Rome.DATE OF EPISTLE: Many scholars have different estimations as to when it was written. The opinions range from 59 AD to 68 AD it is most likely between the years 64 AD and 66 AD. WRITTEN FROM: Many believe the epistle was written from Nicopolis in Macedonia. Other scholars believe it was Corinth in Greece (3:12).TITUS: He was a Greek, according to Galatians 2:3. He probably had never been circumcised and had not been of the Jewish faith. Titus was converted under Paul's ministry. It appears that Titus assisted Paul on many occasions (2 Cor. 8:23). It seems possible that Titus spent time with Paul while in Rome (2 Tim. 4:10). Titus' main work, as given by Paul in this epistle, is to take the oversight of the Christian work on the island of Crete. Tradition holds that Titus lived until he was quite old. Some believe that he was in his nineties when he died. Tradition is, however, not necessarily fact. Scriptures referring to Titus are numerous (See: 2 Cor. 2:13; 7:6,13,14; 8:6,16,23;1218; Gal. 2:1,3; 2 Tim.4:10 and Titus 1:4).
There are many false teachers concerning forgiveness. Many of these are well meaning pastors and teachers. While this is not intended to be an exhaustive work on forgiveness, it should be a benefit to any reader who needs to have or give forgiveness. This is not intended to be a heavy theological treatise on forgiveness, but is based on biblical truths. It is the purpose of this work to assist the readers to find full and complete forgiveness in their life. It is also to help people learn how to forgive others. Great freedom is to be found in forgiveness as a giver as well as a receiver.
A practical guide to having a great marriage written by a marriage counselor.
This book will deal briefly with the subject of the backslider and other subjects as they relate to the backslider. It is not the author's aim to give all the arguments that support he views, but arguments that he feels, cannot be successfully refuted. Consequently, parables will not be used. Some parables are good examples of the backslider's condition, but since some may doubt their application to the backslider, they will not be used.
After more than fifty years in the ministry, my memory is not as accurate and stories may have been somewhat built upon through the years. Several names of people, pastors, associations and churches have been changed to protect the innocent
Spiritual bonding is an extremely important concept. It is a vital subject in all relationships, as believers. The concept is better understood and developed among church members. In the marital bond and Christian family, spiritual bonding is seldom ever developed. When it is properly developed couples and families function and better enjoy God's blessings. The definition and methods of spiritual bonding will be described. The key terms are; bond, cleave, yoked, evvvnergevw (energeo), and agape (agape). Christian counselors, pastors, and parents will gain great insight into marital and family problems through understanding spiritual bonding and its vital importance in relationships. Most problems do have a spiritual root.
While at the Oklahoma State Association meeting, the Lord spoke to my heart as Dr. Wade Jernigan spoke on the title of "The Legacy." After two years and hundreds of phone calls and hours, it is my honor and privilege to offer this humble effort. The purpose of this work is multiple:1.To honor and give praise to God on every page. 2.To honor many of my heroes of the faith, our mature ministers, who have pioneered and blazed the trails giving their lives sacrificially to better equip our churches and pastors for the future.3.To help our younger ministers learn from our experiences, the triumphs and failures in ministry, helping them to grow faster and stronger along with the churches they will serve.4.All profits from this book are to go to the Ministerial Scholarship Fund at Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College. Titus 2:1-2,6-8 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: 2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. 7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, 8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Many other subjects were assigned but went uncompleted. Some of these were: The pastor and weddings, the pastor and his family life, the pastor and burn out, the pastor and ministerial ethics, the pastor and Christian Education, the pastor and building projects, the pastor and church music, the pastor and his deacons, the pastor and his continuing education and many others. Many wonderful brethren wanted to write but due to the poor health of their mate or themselves declined our invitation or were unable to complete their assignments.
The epidemic of divorce is rampant among all churches today. It is a problem that is being ignored and avoided. Pastors and congregations are trying to hold the standards high to discourage divorce. However, most often churches are shooting their wounded and enabling abusers to continue their abuse. There is a need to give teaching that is biblical and balanced to help the victims of divorce and encourage the fallen. Usually half of most congregations are filled with divorced adults. The majority of children in church come from non-traditional homes. Yet the needs for their healing are not being met. Anyone who deals with these controversial issues is asking for trouble. There are so many pastors and churches with different views that some will love and yet most may condemn. This is a labor of love to the hurting and neglected. This work is to be used as a tool and help to churches, pastors, teachers and those who have been through the trauma of divorce.
The term ordinance has been defined and illustrated. So, what are the ordinances of the New Testament church? There are three ordinances given by the chronological order as given by Jesus. The first one is BAPTISM (Matt. 3:13-17). The second ordinance is WASHING THE SAINT'S FEET (John 13:1-17). The third ordinance is called the LORD'S SUPPER (John 13:18-38; 1 Cor. 11:23-30; Matt. 26:26-29). It would be frivolous to debate that one ordinance is more important or ranks higher than another. All three ordinances are commanded, greatly needed, and are to be observed. If the ordinances were rated by the amount of gospel truths symbolized then WASHING THE SAINT'S FEET would rate first. The purpose of this work is to highlight the second ordinance given by our Lord and to teach its many deep spiritual truths. And to reveal the beautiful testimony the observance of the ordinance demonstrates to the world. While this work focuses its attention on the second ordinance, it must be noted that, Baptism and the Lord's Supper are counted very sacred and important. The aim of this work is not to lower their importance, but to rightfully elevate the Washing of the Saint's Feet.
The purpose of this book is to edify believers, church leaders, lost souls, and encourage the victims of divorce and those who remarry including ministers. There appears to be every wind of doctrine concerning these subjects among churches today. The form of this work is unusual. The main text is absent of lengthy quotes and highly technical discussions. This is to help the newly saved and recent victims of divorce to find the answers they need clearly and efficiently. More than half of this book is made up of appendixes filled with quotes from the most brilliant and highly respected minds of scholars over the past sixteen hundred years. These scholars all agree with the author's contentions in part or whole and often argue his points. Most of the author's comments concerning the scriptures are only summations of the commentaries quoted in the Old and New Testament sections. There are numerous pages for the scholars and in-depth word studies from the Greek and Hebrew found in these appendixes for the more serious student of the Word. Many years have been spent in gathering and researching materials for the preparation of this work. It is hoped that it will make a difference for the better in the churches. Pastors must learn that every member of their congregation have been affected by divorce. It is time we abandon the traditions that were spoken against by Paul and John in the New Testament. These traditions were born out of the Gnostic teachings, and passed on to the Catholic teaching for over hundreds of years. Protestants have been greatly influenced by this asceticism in their own traditions and are still killing and wounding their victims. The truths of Scripture must prevail over the laws and traditions of men.

Semjaza: The Apocalypse of Silence is the second book in the CURSE OF MESPHISTO'S SEED trilogy. The apocalypse chronicles the death of Elliott and the birth of Lifthrasir. It reveals the plans of Mesphisto, the trial of Mark Talbot and Josh Riley and the rise of The Cult of the Wayward Souls as the new age religion of choice. Reviewers called book one a fantastic apocalyptic thriller, a hellish battle between good and evil, a haunting journey. The journey truly begins in book two with its jinns, doppelgangers, necromancy, Roman gods and a certain devil named Michael Orcus with a penchant for beautiful women. The landscapes of hell are more brutal, the action more furious and this time only Nox, the goddess of death and her acolyte, the black cat can decide the final outcome.
