Unpublished until long after Mendelssohn's death, the Sonata in F MWV Q26 was composed in 1838, while Mendelssohn was serving as the music director of the Leipzig Gewandhaus, and was intended for Ferdinand David, the concertmaster of the Gewandhaus. Yehudi Menuhin's edition was the first to bring the sonata into print in 1953 and has remained popular with violinists. Contains a piano score and separate violin part.

Ørjan Matre's Trompeten, Nachts und Untergang is a 26-minute work for solo trumpet and choir (SSAATTBB). It is based on texts by the Austrian poet Georg Trakl and describes distant trumpet sounds, decaying castle ruins and icy lakes, in the spirit of German Romanticism. Trompeten, Nachts und Untergang (Trumpets, Night and Downfall) was premiered by Norwegian trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth and the Norwegian Soloists' Choir (conductor: Grete Pedersen) at the Ultima Oslo Contemporary Festival in September 2020.This edition is the choral score (EP14530) of the work.
