Rob Calloway is an American boxer with 92 total fights, 76 wins (60 by knockout), 14 losses, and 2 draws. He had forty amateur bouts, being the Kansas City Golden Gloves champion two times and a USA Regional Champion in St Louis, which led eventually to the semifinals for the 1992 US western Olympic trials. He has held the World Boxing Council Continental Americas Title, the WBA and IBF International titles. His World Heavyweight Championship win over Bob Mirovic in Australia, on the Gold Coast, for the World Boxing Foundation heavyweight championship was designated the 2005 Fight of the Year by Fox Sports (Australia). Calloway has fought on HBO Europe, PPV, Showtime, Fox Sports and on ESPN 6 times, winning Five. Rob Calloway took the name of the All American Prize Fighter after his adopted hometown of St Joseph, Missouri won an All American City Award in 1996. Rob has received a Key to the city and a Day in Honor from his adopted hometown.Calloway has fought in over 20 different states and 10 times outside of the USA in 8 different countries: 2X in Germany and 2X in Australia, Denmark, England, Poland, Bahamas, China, and Russia.Calloway has faced some of the world's most famous boxers, including former heavyweight champions Hasim Rahman, Shannon Briggs, and Russia's Ruslan Chagaev two times with the first being a Technical Draw on Showtime. The goal of the St. Joseph Writers Guild is to encourage writers to have confidence in themselves and their writing ability. We wish to promote in them the desire to further develop their skills. It is our task to promote respect and enthusiasm for the written word. This anthology of some of our guild members' works is a written collage of our passions for the art of creative writing. This collection will now be preserved for future generations. Long after we writers are gone, this book of our written words will live on. In the future, as this book pops up again and again, it will be like looking backward and seeing the footprint we made in the sands of time. All the bad guys and all the good guys had a war and then they vanished, taking their powers and the very ability to HAVE powers with them. There are mysterious heroes and villains now, but they don't have superpowers. What they do have are helpers-Tricks-people who give them an edge, or maybe just a sandwich. Among these heroes and villains are former minor super heroes who didn't vanish but lost their abilities. Brand's grandfather is one of these, a sidekick who lost everything in the war. Brand has grown up with this legacy, raised by his grandfather when his parents were killed. Brand is a Trick; he helps the heroes. But things are about to change. Prophecy says the powers will return on the fiftieth anniversary of the war. The world will once again allow magic but will be destroyed because of it. Brand is seeing things that shouldn't be happening, ghostly figures, strange dreams, powers-superpowers-coming back, allies becoming enemies, the social structure unwinding, evil forces hunting him down, blaming HIM. They claim it's all Brand's fault, and Brand is starting to believe they may be right! Oh, and scariest of all... Brand goes on his first date.

People like to blame someone for problems. Many people blame the president, Congress, local school boards, administrators, or teachers for the shortfalls of the public school system. The problem is not that the educators and lawmakers aren't trying to improve the system; it's that they just haven't realized the proverbial horse is dead. If the basic system doesn't work, all the money and strategies and dedication in the world will not help unless the system itself is replaced. One of the most crucial things the system has failed to do is differentiate between equal educational opportunity for all and equal (or identical) education for all. Instead of trying to make everybody the same, an educational system must ensure equal rights for everyone while still allowing them to develop at their own rate and in their own way. Only then can we have the diversity, creativity, and ingenuity needed to compete in the world today. In this book.
