The tides of evil are rapidly advancing through the seven mountains of society, leaving behind debris, destruction, and death. Their purposeful advance seems to be forcing the body of Christ into abject surrender and the belief that there's nothing that can be done. This is reminiscent of Goliath taunting King Saul and his beleaguered army into accepting submission, until a skinny shepherd boy who understood the covenant sauntered in. This is an end-time call to live a devoted life in the Spirit to establish kingdom authority-a life in the Spirit in which encroaching evil may retreat and victory may be accomplished daily. Love one another through divine submission: the love of the Spirit. Walk in the unity of the Spirit. Live a life of repentance and forgiveness. Pursue the restoration of all things. Unite love-sick worshipers who cry out for the King's return.
The book is about the life of five siblings who suffered at the hands of their stepmother after their mother was forced out of her marriage. These siblings endured so much torture as children that even as adults they are still affected. Their father whom they thought was their protector had no power and was literally told what to say and do to these children. These children grew up without experiencing parental love because that was taken away when their stepmother came into their life. This book talks about not only their horrible experience at the hands of their stepmother but the children's determination to rise above their horrible experience with God's help.

The main theme of my novel is about redemption for the main character, but it is also about finding what divides us as citizens who as liberals and conservatives are at ever increasing odds." Mangles says. Within these pages, he challenges the prevailing jurisprudence on victimless crimes and redefines the role of the government as he believes the founding fathers intended. As he says, this book is for those with similar views on ending what he calls the leviathan bureaucracy, as well as political action groups and lobbyists, the search for a "just tax" and so on. Mangles provides a treat for those of such persuasions and fellow travelers. "Many years ago, I began to see the growing, political divide in our society. This motivated me to search for an answer as to why. I grew up in the time of Kennedy when the distinctions between the two parties did not seen to be great." Mangles explains. While his narrative keeps readers on the edge of their seats, there is no mindless carnage or cheap thrills. It challenges the status quo but does so peacefully. "I would like my prospective readers to know there is no violence in my book, and I included absolutely no profanity, not even a "damn" or "hell" is to be found. I wanted the language to be nothing more than beautiful prose." If the reader understands my polemic, then one more amendment to the Constitution should be added to restore to us, as citizens, the freedom we should all aspire to.DAVID MANGLES is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, Michigan, and majored in psychology. He has had a variety of occupations including uranium mining on the Continental Divide, part owner of a delicatessen, and worked in special education within the Grand Rapids school district."...a philosophically charged novel""Debut author Mangles displays impressive erudition on a range of topics."- Kirkus Review
