Modeling and Computational simulation applied to engineering is a field that brings together the power of computers, physical sciences and engineering practices. To solve different problems in engineering using computer simulation, it is necessary to model them, which represents a real-world phenomenon as a set of mathematical equations. This book deals with models involving simple Algebraic equation(s), Single & multiple nonlinear equation(s), Single & Multiple Ordinary Differential Equations and Partial Differential Equations of parabolic type, is intended for UG/PG students, Researchers and faculty. The collection of numerous problems from various sources aimed to apply different numerical methods in the subject areas such as Heat transfer, Fluid flow, Thermodynamics, Mass transfer, Reaction engineering, equipment design and process simulation. This book gives hands-on exposure on procedures and solutions using various computational tools such as MS-Excel®, MATLAB®, CHEMCAD® and COMSOL® dealing with chemical and pharmaceutical applications.
Soil science and Agricultural chemistry is one of the major subjects in Agricultural Sciences. It became a deciding subject to become candidature for most of the aspirants for competitive exams in Agriculture.
Climate Smart agriculture has now become a global policy initiative for enhancing the productivity and resilience of agricultural ecosystem functions. This book (Capacity Bilding for Climate Smart Agriculture) provides essential information on impacts of climate change on agriculture and aims at strengthening knowledge base of agricultural extension functionaries, building institutional capacities, leveraging financial resources both state and central and developing strategies for climate smart agriculture. The publication is a cogent, lucid and well structured compilation of material related to climate smart agriculture.

Cereals, pulses and fodders are considered as important source of food grains and livestock feed respectively, play pivotal role in Indian economy. Combination of cereals and pulses is said to be a balanced one as they supply protein on mutually inclusive basis. Pulses are chief source of protein and practical means of eradicating malnutrition among children and nursing mothers in India. The per capita availability of food grains is decelerating especially in pulses. Combined ration of cereal and legume forages is equally important for harnessing the livestock production in India. The qualitative and quantitative production of these components depend not only on scientific way of their cultivation but also methodical package of practices followed by cultivators. Keeping this in view, this manual provides a systematic way of cultivating these crops at field level especially for those without any farming background. The contents are crisp and this manual is useful for undergraduate students across the country. This manual is first of its kind in India for the course “Crop Production (Cereals, Millets, Pulses and fodders)”.

In this manual an attempt has been made to discuss complex experimental protocols in an easy and step-by-step manner, which will be very useful for the beginners. At the end of each chapter, exercises have been given with solving examples. The manual consists of five chapters viz., Soil sampling and processing, Fundamental properties of soil, Hydraulic properties of soil, Solute transport through soil and Soil quality parameters. In order to limit the volume of the manual, detailed theoretical aspects has been avoided and instead presented in a short and simple manner.
Corporations have long passed the buck of training people in employability, soft skills and personality development to the educational institutions. Textbooks must support and supplement the efforts of teachers and the students. Texts must find new ways of projecting the subject reflecting inter-dependent nature of personality development, career planning, soft skills, employability, and English language skills, the lingua franca of international community and link Indian language.
