DEALING WITH IMPOSSIBLE CLIENTS points up the ways in which clients can be difficult, demanding, or outright scoundrels and what to do about the problem. The book deals with recognizing the danger signals before working with such a client and when to cut your losses to avoid further problems down the road. While the focus is on what small business owners, managers, and professionals should do, the book should also appeal to others in business with problem employees, bosses, or co-workers and those going into business for themselves. The book begins with an introduction about how to notice warning signs to help you avoid dealing with impossible clients. Each chapter begins with a story about an impossible client, based on interviews with several dozen small business owners, managers, and professionals about what happened to them. Following each story, there is a discussion of what went wrong and what might have been done to prevent this. Each chapter concludes with suggestions on how to deal with similar problems in your own situation, followed by a few short takeaways. The Return of the Neanderthals is a series of interconnected stories that begin when a paleontologist brings back some DNA from a Neanderthal burial ground discovered in an archeological dig in Northern Europe. He then works in secret with a scientist friend to bring back six Neanderthal babies using stem cell, cloning, and CRISPER techniques, along with the help of some surrogate mothers. After the Neanderthals are raised in a lab with the help of a nursery school teacher, they are placed in a group home, where an unexpected incident leads to their discovery and a media story about them.In the next story, the owner of a robot factory learns about the success of the first group of Neanderthals and decides to create a workforce of Neanderthals to replace the robots in his factory and shipping facility. After that program proves successful and word of it spreads, some detectives think the Neanderthals could help them in crime fighting, because of their strength, aggressiveness, and hunting skills. So they recruit and train a team of six Neanderthals to help them find and capture elusive criminals. Once the Neanderthals prove their worth, the team tackles other assignments for the cops, and they face challenges and danger along the way. In the third story, a criminal gang leader learns about the Neanderthals working for the cops, and he decides to create his own gang of Neanderthals to commit crimes for profit and revenge and to thwart the efforts of the Neanderthals helping the cops. HE LOST, HE LOST! features four major reasons that Trump lost - not just the election but popular support, based on a series of cartoons with a spirit of levity. The commentary is written in this same spirit, while providing some background to explain the comparisons made in the cartoons. The four reasons Trump lost are these: - Trump is Bats in that he is like a bat flying in the dark so he can''t see what''s real very well, and he''s running or running away like a bat out of hell. - Trump Is Nuts in that he is like a variety of nuts from peanuts to cashews and pecans, and finally he is carted off to the nuthouse. - Trump Is an Animal in that he is like a male animal fighting for power, women, and territory; - Trump is like a Variety of Extinct Animals or Humans in that he is like a variety of dinosaurs and other extinct creatures. He Lost, He Lost! is a fun, yet insightful look into the malignant narcissist that just left the White house. It is an easy read that 80,000,000 of us can enjoy." Charles E. Hooper, Speaker Coach, Sacramento, California"If you need a good laugh during this trying time, check out this new book. It''s an SNL literary approach with great illustrations and satire." John Covert, Crystal Image Variety Band, Jackson, California"This book brings some laughs and light in a dark time. Sure to make you smile. For me it''s a must read." Mark Gagnon, Film Critic, Los Angeles, California Sandi Derring is an author who has long been following the ups and downs of Trump''s 2016 campaign, White House years, 2020 election, and final defeat. She also supports science, preserving the environment, recognizing climate control, and eradicating the coronavirus -- all things Trump is against or has chosen to ignore.
