Georg Philipp Telemann’s 12 fantaisies à traversière sans basse (12 Fantasias for solo flute without bass), TWV 40:2–13, was published in Hamburg in 1732–33. The current edition is an urtext edition, which aims to remain as close as possible to the first edition. The collection progresses by key, from A major to G minor, with the keys being avoided that were impractical on a Baroque one-key flute, i.e. B major, C minor, F minor and F-sharp major. A facsimile of the 1732 first edition is included from page 28 onwards.
The book compares the science and efficacy of natural healing with that of pharmaceuticals.A person usually becomes ill due to subtle organ malfunctions, induced by various stresses. There is a natural resonance between each organ and certain bodily locations, and traditional acupuncture uses this resonance to return the organs to normal function, which clears all symptoms and produces a genuine cure.Whereas today's drug-based approach has no ability to remedy such organ malfunctions. Instead its usual approach is to chemically block the normal function of healthy aspects of the body, in an attempt to conceal symptoms. In the process, such drugs also accidentally chemically block the main organs from working normally, which is what produces most adverse effects and prevents the patient from ever returning to full health. This approach, though damaging to health, has become today's medical religion. This is why mainstream healthcare often finds itself unable to properly treat many common conditions. In contrast, natural healing successfully treats those same conditions by simply returning the organs to normal function. The book demonstrates the natural healing approach to most conditions, and this is compared to the drug-based approach, including the fraudulent conduct of drug companies in concealing harms, manipulating data, and making false claims for their drugs to boost sales at the expense of world health.Ironically, the book shows that a 2,000 year old medical system is far more scientific, effective, and genuinely evidence based than today's mainstream healthcare.Fletcher Kovich works as a traditional acupuncture practitioner and researcher. He developed and tested the intelligent tissue theory, which, for the first time, scientifically explains how acupuncture works to correct organ malfunctions.
The book highlights the conceptual flaw in the drug-based approach to healthcare, which only damages health and even leads to pandemics. Georg Philipp Telemann's 12 fantaisies à traversière sans basse (12 Fantasias for Solo Flute without bass), TWV 40:2-13, was published in Hamburg in 1732-33. The current edition transposes the original flute score down by a major sixth, to render it more suitable for a clarinet, and the edition is transposed for a B flat clarinet.A facsimile of the 1732 first edition is included from page 28 onwards.
When trying to communicate about personal matters, or on any topic that's important to you, you may have noticed that communication often seems to rapidly break down. How often do you feel that people don't understand what you're trying to say, or have completely misunderstood you? Or how often does a person's behaviour seem strange to you, or their comments seem puzzling? If you notice this type of situation frequently, this probably means you care about communication. This book explores these areas in detail and aims to enable you to be able to quickly spot which topics it is and is not possible to communicate about, and to spot which people it will not be possible to communicate with on certain topics. You'll also be able to clearly understand why a person has misunderstood what you've said or done, and will gain an insight into your own and other people's personalities.Using language that everyone can understand, the book provides a fascinating read for anyone interested in everyday communication and the related relationship problems.Fletcher Kovich works as a healer, practicing traditional Chinese acupuncture, and writes articles on health issues. He's also worked as a music teacher, a technical author and has written several novels. He's always had a passionate interest in communication and personality, and this book is the product of many years of personal research he's carried out in this area.
A collection of short stories, quirky, enchanting and unforgettable. Samuel is plagued by strangers who whisper to him unwanted messages of a sexual nature. Mandy is accident prone when wearing stiletto heels. Clemency is a nurse who feels herself to be undesirable until she meets Joseph, a dying patient who's troubled by the choices he made in life. Andrea is addicted to correcting other people's mistakes and cannot understand why her efforts are unwelcome. Each of the eighteen stories are different in style but all feature a comic, thoughtful and poetic approach to this exploration of the inner worlds of these memorable characters."And at the end of each day, I'm left with the feeling that there must be holes in my mind somewhere, for all these stories have leaked out."
In a town called Perception, the citizens are ruled by an extravagant madness. It demands they vandalize the gardens of any neighbours whose words they cannot understand, spit venom at the devious devils who are clearly trying to make them look stupid, dream up retaliatory sexual exploits to repay the scheming men in their lives, and that an elderly citizen should dance in the street in imitation of a disabled, flying rodent to attempt to embarrass her visiting relatives. And amid this mayhem, the chief constable is desperate to identify the criminal amongst his citizens but is as flummoxed as the rest; while in the community's goldfish bowls, the behaviour of the fish mimics the human pantomime around them, which engages the interest of an eccentric, local professor. The Tragedy of Perception is a comic allegory about communication problems.
In 1962, Bong-Han Kim, a North Korean medical surgeon at Pyongyang Medical University, published the first scientific evidence of the structures that correspond to the acupuncture meridians. After three years of further research, he published the present book, which is a complete account of his findings. This current edition contains the complete text of that 1965 book, including over 100 colour photos and diagrams. The book describes a range of completely new anatomical structures, including node-like structures at the acupoints, connected with fine vessels which extend to the internal organs, and also exist within blood and lymph vessels and throughout the nervous system. These structures are reported to circulate embryonic-like cells which transform into the various cells required by our body's organs and tissues and which are circulated in this "meridian" system to complete their transformation. And the purpose of the entire system is said to be the continuous repair and regeneration of key cells in our organs and elsewhere. To date, every one of Kim's procedures that have been reproduced by other researchers have confirmed his claims. However the scope of his work was tremendous and many aspects of it have still not been investigated or reproduced by other researchers. This is an extremely important book and is a fascinating read for any practitioner or student of acupuncture or biology.
