An amateur astronomer discovers a new object in the sky over the South Pole. NASA determines that the space rock is very unusual; it is very cold and it is very magnetic. NASA finally determines that the object will approach Earth and enter a stable orbit. Russian scientists believe that the rock will strike Earth. The Russians launch a missile to destroy the space rock but they fail and cause the object to come to Earth in Antarctica. Because of its unusual nature, the space rock makes a soft landing and, because it is so cold, when it passes through Earth's atmosphere, it creates an ice tunnel from space to the surface of Earth. But there is a breach in the ice tunnel near sea level that is allowing the Earth's atmosphere to be sucked into space. It is only a matter of time until the air on Earth becomes so thin that it will threaten all living things with extinction. The ice tunnel cannot be immediately destroyed because it is enormously explosive due to the makeup of the surface of the space rock. So the hole must be plugged as soon as possible. Plugging the hole will require exceptional resources and precision. If the mission fails, Earth will run out of air.

Firefighters are among the bravest and most courageous. They run into burning buildings, save lives and are always helping others even when they may be risking their own lives. There are many different kinds of firefighters. There is a variety of firefighting jobs, positions, and types of equipment and resources available to different kinds of firefighters. It is important to know what the equipment is and how the firefighters use the equipment. Children discovering that there are different kinds of firefighters will unleash their imagination and possibilities. Each of these types of firefighters is so critical in the world we live in to help protect us. More important than which firefighter do you want to be, is What Kind of Firefighter Do You Want To Be. The characteristics, values and love that you show through your everyday actions in all that you do is the most important. Our responsibility as a community is to teach our children values. This is the Kind of Person you should always strive to be. Believe in yourself. Be positive. Speak kindly to everyone. Show grace and understanding. Show courage by doing the right thing. Help others. Include everyone. Don't be a bully. Speak up when other's are bullied. Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do. Kindness matters and love will always win.
