  • - in an ordinary life
    af Debra Talley
    173,95 kr.

Every traveling Southern Gospel artist has stories and experiences about their time on the road. Usually the public doesn't get to hear these stories. Over the years, Debra has written many short stories from her experiences and has kept most of those writings for herself to remind her that God is present every moment of every day. She is releasing these experiences in her first ever book titled "God Moments In An Ordinary Life." She writes, "Most of the lessons I have learned, in my life, have come, not from eloquent sermons or inspiring books, but from the unexpected moments in my ordinary days. God uses the simplest things to remind me that every day is an opportunity to experience Him. Over the years, I have written many stories from my experiences and have kept them for myself to remind me that He is present in every moment of every day. Now I am sharing them with you. As you read about my observations, inspirations, and experiences, I hope you will open your eyes, ears, and especially your heart to the God moments in your ordinary days."

  • - What Business School Instructors Wish Church Leaders Knew about Management
    af David W Wright

In The Church Leader's MBA: What Business School Instructors Wish Church Leaders Knew about Management Dr. Mark Smith, Ed D and Dr. David W. Wright, Ph D teach you how to take proven management principles from the business world and apply them in your local church. Unfortunately, most ministerial preparation programs do little to provide business and organizational tools to aspiring ministers. This book is written by ministers and organizational managers for church leaders. The Church Leader's MBA focuses on four areas of professional management skills that we believe ministers must develop: - The ability to develop an organization - The ability to lead people effectively - The ability to manage the operational elements of the organization - The ability to manage one's own ongoing professional development. The church is both a human organization and a spiritual community. Our point in this book is that successful ministerial leaders understand both elements of this identity and master a set of tools related to the leadership of both of these elements

HEALING IS BOTH IMMEDIATE AND PROGRESSIVE; IN ANY CASE, GOD IS BOTH THE INITIATOR AND FINISHER OF HEALING. The problem that many people struggle with is the "Interim Factor," that is, the time between the asking God to heal them and the actual healing. The age-old questions as to God's willingness to heal, what are the qualifications to receive a healing and why aren't some people healed, are debatable from many points of view. I am convinced that God is a healer and is willing to heal His creation when they get sick. I was diagnosed with Burkett's Lymphoma, a cancer strain that is known to attack the brain. Along with many other Christians, I prayed for God to heal me immediately. Instead the cancer on the left side of my jaw continued to get worse. I asked God three questions, "What are you saying? What lessons are to be learned? How can I help You?" My journey to a complete healing lasted over a period of six months. I have had the privilege of sharing hope to several people who have been diagnosed with some form of cancer. Also, I had the honor of sharing Christ with many in the medical arena. After several pet scans, my oncologist cannot find anymore cancer in my body. I hope that you find encouragement through my Journey to a complete Healing.
