"At an era of intemperance in politics, when corruption and subversion ran rampant against democracy, they wanted to put a stop to impunity. Knowing that it'd come to life and death eventually, they jumped the gun on it."This is a work of fiction, and I wish everything was fictional in it... Once upon a time, there was a land where corruption ran rampant amongst politicians, and their misdeeds reflected in dismay and desolation for the people. As a growing government thrived in overreach and overindulgence, the working masses found themselves held hostage and feeling powerless to revert the erosion of their civil rights. Sycophant legislators, bought and paid for, enriched themselves illicitly at the expense of the suffering of their constituents. Their selfish aims had little to do with democracy or the needs of the people, in a disconnect between the aims of political circles and the realities of the general gender. Legislating in self interest, they continuously enacted laws to protect themselves from us, the people. If any of this sounds a little too familiar to you, believe me, it's mere coincidence. "THE NGO" is a political thriller that explores, in an allegorical manner, the issues of authoritarianism, corruption and impunity in the contemporary political scenario. What part do we, the common people, play in such a scenario? What should we do, when the well-oiled governmental machine that we finance via our taxes suddenly runs against us?What to Expect: Diverse, Relatable ProtagonistsCharacter DevelopmentA Thrilling NarrativePolitical Intrigue & Conspiracy TheoriesAuthentic Military & Police ActionTechnical AccuracyAn Allegorical Criticism of Current EventsSociopolitical Critique of Contemporary SocietyGenre: Action & Adventure / Political Thriller / War & Military

Despite the importance of relationships, many of us struggle when it comes to creating healthy and meaningful ones. We are incredibly advanced in science, technology, and medicine - yet when it comes to getting along with others we struggle. Fortunately, there is a better way to approach any relationship in life-and Relationship Matters will show you how. First, you will learn that relationships operate as interdependent, interactive systems. In fact, in any relationship at any level, there is a relationship between the two parties - known as the "third entity" - that is greater and more powerful than the separate individuals in that system. No matter how close or distant a relationship may be, the third entity is always present and available for you to tap into, with its reservoir of deep wisdom. Building upon this foundation, Faith Fuller reveals the universal principles that underpin all relationship systems, which will ultimately help you: Understand what relationship intelligence is and why it is critical to human evolutionDevelop Relationship WarriorshipUnlock the hidden potential in conflictIdentify new options for navigating difficult relationshipsBuild life-changing relationships - especially with yourselfRelationships aren't something you "do" in your spare time - they are embedded in everything you do! By understanding these relationship systems, you will finally be able to cultivate positive, healthy relationships within yourself and with those closest to you, while contributing to the evolution of relationships on a global level . . . because all relationships matter.

Poetry is one of the oldest devices of communication and culture. Our history is told in ballads and songs as a method to easily retain both the events and the feelings of the time. Who hasn't sung, "I've been working on the railroad" or "She'll be coming 'round the mountain," yet have any of us really done or seen those things? Think about the child's poem, "Ring around the Rosies." We may not even realize we're teaching about the great plagues of the Middle Ages. But that imagery is in our minds. Our parents raised a gifted and accomplished family. We have all gone to college, some of us with advanced degrees. Not bad for a coal miner and a high school dropout who married an older man when she was 15. Our home fostered a love of learning, encouragement to be inquisitive, and a joy of coming together for games, puzzles and actual conversation. Poetry has been at the heart of our family. This book contains a collection of the poems written by members of the family for the annual reunion Poetry Night. Beginning in 2013, the Friday night before our big outdoor celebration, most of the family would gather and orally read or recite the poems written for the gathering.
