Empress Isabella feared the burly-bodied, six-legged, narrow-headed creature known as kessra. Her fear of the Planos predator, combined with the late Admiral Harrington's suspicions of the creature's intelligence, made each seek a different path to aid Jennifer and the natives of Planos.Isabella never imagined the transformation of Jennifer's mountain cavern home into a functional pioneering homestead with a few modern technological advantages to enhance their safety would become the focal point of the fearsome creature's rage. She knew Taric was aware the empire had to remain true to the charter's bylaws of noninterference in the natural progression of species evolution. Upon receiving Taric's vid message, she witnessed his emergence as a leader, formally requesting the establishment of political and trade relations between their worlds, instantly providing the empire an opportunity to assist without actively interfering with a trade partner's internal affairs.Leaning back in her desk chair with her eyes closed, imagining Jennifer witnessing the siege of her mountain home amid a rising number of savage, unforgiving predators encroaching into the territory, a frightening vision began to play out in her mind of terrifying enraged beasts rapidly advancing toward Jennifer in a coordinated swarm.Shivering with fright, not wishing to see further into the depths of her imagination, Isabella opened her eyes, fearfully shouting in the privacy of her empty office, "No! No! That's not real!"Yet questioning the imaginative visions within her mind's eye, Isabella sensed a faint nagging presence of premonition, asking her, "Or is it?"Apprehensive of the grim reality facing Planos increased Isabella's anxiety over the survival of vulnerable natives living in the eastern wilderness. However, in this case, Isabella believed any variation of humanoid life in the galaxy has more value than a merciless predator with feeding habits akin to sharks inhabiting Earth's oceans.Isabella had to return to Planos, secretly hoping Merlin, the AI inhabiting the fleet's flagship, Maleficent, could ascertain the true scope of the crisis and provide a course of action without violating the charter's strict bylaws.
Thirty long and grueling years have passed since humanity started rebuilding the world after the outbreak of an unknown virus that reanimates the dead into unintelligent cannibalistic creatures. During the thirty-year time frame, mankind has bounced back from the brink of extinction and started reforming the world in their image. The undead, known as betas, were still a common occurrence but were far less prevalent than before. This outcome was all thanks to the synthesis of a cure to stop further infections that was freely administered to the populace. Many thought this would finally be the start of things returning to how they were before the beta apocalypse. Many were incorrect. The multitude of societies and power centers that arose wanted to retain and grow their own power, and very few worked together. Now is an age where these pseudo-nations either make their own way and rise to greatness or perish in the new world. In the city-state of New Bethlehem lives Jayden Thrattis, a twenty-two-year-old male who, along with his friends, lives his life as best as he can until, one day, war finds its way to the walls of their settlement. Now Jayden must help defend his home from all enemies, whether they be humans from an imperialistic kingdom or from himself and the person he chooses to become as he juggles self-sacrifice and his own self-worth.

Growing up on a farm, you see a lot of things that blow your mind as a child. It gives you a chance to experience things that many people can never imagine. As an adventurous child, I did a lot of "stupid" things. Some ended up funny, some did not. But this didn't stop in my childhood. We spent many years on hog farms and had some very unusual situations Throughout the rest of my life, my family and I would own and enjoy around 40 different kinds of animals. This would include animals such as tigers, lions, bears, buffalo, a wallaby, reindeer, zeedonk, bobcats, and many many others. We owned and operated a traveling petting zoo for many years. We would bring over 30 different kinds of animals into towns and let people pet and play with them. This is where a lot of the stories came from. So, this book is about all the weird and unusual things that happened to me and my family throughout the years. It starts as a kid on a family farm, then many years on hog farms, and ends with the many exotic animal stories. You just can't beat life on the farm!
Awareness of the community culture is necessary for a successful leadership. No leader can successfully lead a community ignoring its culture. Knowledge of the culture helps shape the strategies that would convince people to buy-in and reduce resistance and weaken opposition attitudes.A leader must govern with moral purpose on all his/her actions or initiatives. He/she cannot tolerate social vices such as stealing the community's money, embezzling money from the people's business, behaving as political gangsters, displaying indifferent attitudes in face of calamities, and ignoring people's misery.A good leader is someone who strives to work for the betterment of his community. He/she is someone who helps everyone to succeed. He/she is the guarantor of the people's security and hope for the better.Any political leader, any organizational leader who neglects the importance of the culture would cause chaos that would lead the country or the organization to its demise, sadly. The relentlessness to quick enrichment from embezzling the country natural resources, squandering its assets through stingy abominable deals depriving the country from its economic and financial means is clearly the curse to the country development. Again, a leader must live with a moral purpose. He must be the embodiment of a decent model of live to the people he is in charge of or the organization he oversees. His first and utmost responsibility should be the welfare of the people and not his own quick enrichment. Some African leaders should consider going back to the traditional African model of leadership, adapting it to the world's everchanging events and realities. This book is to remind African leaders the meaning of leadership.
It'll be all right was Mom's phrase. And of course, she was usually right, but we wouldn't admit it to her. We grew up not thinking about what will come later in our lives. Mom and Dad made things as easy as they could for us. Then it hits you. Will I go to college? What kind of a career do I want? Maybe marriage and the start of a family. Will the marriage last? How do I raise my kids to be responsible people? You turn to your parents for advice, and the first thing they tell you is that it'll be all right. My parents taught us to be kind. Taught us the meaning of respect. Taught us to believe that just maybe we could be or do anything we wanted. They taught us to always care.I just never dreamed the word care would one day be connected to the word giver. I never thought the most rewarding job of my life would be caregiving. Especially for my family. Mom always said, no matter the situation being good or bad, happy or sad...it'll be all right. No truer words were spoken, Mom. I can't begin to explain to anyone the profound emptiness and loss I feel every second of every day because my partner in crime, our little stick of dynamite, my very best friend, my mom is no longer here by my side. But don't worry, Mom, I was listening. You taught your lesson well and you're right...everything will be all right.
"No way. This is way too personal for me to go out and publish," I told my sister."Why not? You don't know how many people would pay to read about real-life drama," she said.So I contemplated it, and here we are. Writing about my early life helped me process a lot mentally and grow, and I'm hoping it also helps others know it's okay to speak about mental health and abuse and share with others the things you stored in your mind. Growing up with all these obstacles helped me learn that there's more for us and you never know what someone is going through. I've always wanted to publish books, so this is basically where I am starting.Yes, this book may be dark or funny or dramatic. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you.

He was in the area where the fire started on the night shift before it happened and saw what started it that killed ninety-one men. One of the most intelligent men Marvin ever met was an officer in the SEAL Team in the US Navy. His name was Mark Shaw and he was also his neighbor. After Marvin was befriended by Mark, he was asked to do some work for him. For about twenty years, Marvin did numerous jobs for Mark: some he is at liberty to write about, but others were confidential government jobs. Mark and his Navy SEAL friends taught Marvin how to become a diver and what to do and what not to do in the water. Most of his work was underwater. Water where you could only see about six inches with a good flashlight, and the water temperature never got over 50 degrees. They made equipment for all the SEAL teams and tested and designed them other equipment. Marvin said being able to talk and work with ex-SEALs was one of the most impressive jobs he have ever had. Mark Shaw died at the age of sixty-four.
