Translation is one of the types of creative activity that has been formed in the culture and history of the peoples of the world for many years and has been developing over the years. By translating a concept or phrase from one language into another, people exchange ideas and get to know other people's culture, customs and traditions. Through translation, mutual economic, political, cultural cooperation relations were formed between the countries of the world. This, in turn, created the ground for the comprehensive development of the states. That is why translation and interpretation are extremely important today.

Fantasy and Science have often been mutually exclusive terms; if magic, fantasy existed in a creation, there was no room for science in it, and vice versa. Books, movies, TV series tend to use just one of them. Nevertheless, one creation, does mix them. Namely, the 2017 TV series, entitled, Emerald City, an adaptation of Frank L. Baum`s children`s novel The Wizard of Oz. The novel belongs to the gene of Fantasy. Throughout ages, the book had many adaptations. The one mentioned above is interesting in particular. While the other adaptations are created within the same genre, Fantasy, this one seems to change it, for the Science Fiction and present a fresh take on the story. The TV series contains many Science Fiction elements, like cyborgs, or robot flying monkey, but these do not change the genre. My paper`s aim is to prove this, namely; that even if the TV series has many Science Fiction elements, therefore, it seems to belong to the genre of Science Fiction, this is just the appearance, as a matter of fact, it remains a Fantasy creation, just as its original source.

The aim of the present book is to study a well known problems in oil and gas industries which are the surface failures of the different types of valves in one side and their high manufacturing cost in the other side. This techno-economic dilemma can have many solutions from the different existing sciences. As tribologists and material scientists, our solution is to replace the valves materials from massive stainless steels into carbon steels with nitrided and optimized stainless steel coatings using thermal spray process and plasma nitriding technique with improved surface properties (hardness, friction, wear resistance and corrosion resistance) and so with lower cost.

In our earlier works we have given the` ¿twice is enough` ¿ type algorithms to determine conjugate directions of positive definite symmetric matrices. In this work we show that it can be generalized to any symmetric matrices. By testing 32 algorithms from the S2 subclass we show that there are 4 algorithms that yield very precise conjugate directions. We compared 13 well-known algorithms like the Lanczos and Hestenes types as an example and the results show the superiority of the best performing algorithms from the S2. Furthermore we show that there are 4 algorithms that give almost exact ranks in for the test problems. We propose some very good algorithms for the difficult and ill-conditioned test problems derived from the Pascal and Hilbert matrices. As a partial result we computed the rank of the matrices as well. In some cases the S2 subclass computes more accurate ranks compared to the MATLAB built in rank function. According to our difficult and ill-conditioned test problems we found that in most cases algorithms the S2 subclass yield far better results than the classical methods.

One of the most interesting features of postmodern literature is the interest manifested towards literary works already accepted as part of the literary canon, contemporary authors combining originality and ownership through different techniques, such as rewriting, recontextualization, adaptation and imitation. Will Self¿s novel, entitled Dorian: An Imitation, published in 2002, is a contemporary version of Oscar Wilde¿s The Picture of Dorian Gray, the author himself describing it in the first interview with him about the novel as ¿an imitation - and a homage¿, ¿a complete and professed rewrite of a classic¿ (McCrum 2002). Literary criticism of postmodern works makes a distinction between ¿rewriting¿ and ¿imitation¿. In my approach, imitation always involves a distinct mode of perception, while rewriting implies an objective analysis followed by a certain creative wish to change some parts, to add a meaning or fill the ¿holes¿ of the text or to amplify the silent voices of the deep meanings. The aim of my research is to analyse and identify the textual practices from the conceptual perspectives of ¿rewriting¿ and ¿imitation¿, regarding the particularities of these two novels.

Studien hadde som mål å evaluere den kjemiske profilen og larvicide aktiviteten til eterisk olje (EO) og olje-i-vann (O/W) nanoemulsjoner fra blader av Eucalyptus globulus Labil og Ocimum africanum Lour .Et betydelig totalt fenolinnhold ble funnet å være korrelert med en effektiv antioksidantaktivitet. Eteriske oljer viste ikke høy toksisitet i toksisitetstester. Den larvicide virkningen av EO av E. globulus og O. africanum ble observert, hvor LC 50 på henholdsvis 26,58 mg L - 1 og LC 50 på 35,89 mg L- 1 , og deres nanoemulsjoner med LC 50 ble funnet på 12,01 mg L -1 og 14,75 mg L -1 . Gjennom de oppnådde resultatene ble det bevist at det var larvicidal og forbedret virkning av nanoemulsjoner i testene som ble utført. Til slutt påpeker denne studien den effektive larvicidale aktiviteten mot Aedes aegypti- larver , og dens anvendelse i arbovirusvektorkontrollområder oppmuntres.
