Nanotechnology is widely considered as the most promising technology of 21st century. However, the idea of nanotechnology was first introduced long back, in 1959, by the renowned physicist 'Richard Feynman' in his famous speech entitled ""There's Plenty of Room at the Bottom" at Caltech, envisioning the creation of materials with atomic precision [Feynman et al, 1960]. The term "nanotechnology" was first used in1974 by Norio Taniguchi, a researcher at the University of Tokyo who used it to refer to the ability of engineering materials at nanoscale [Taniguchi et al, 1974]. Eric Drexler in 1980's popularized the word "nanotechnology" by describing and analysing nanoscale devices, far smaller than a cell [Drexler, 1986]. In the early 90's nanotechnology became an accepted concept, dealing with the creation, exploration, and manipulations of structures measured in nanometer scale. In general, nanotechnology deals with the study of structures smaller than 1 ¿m (1000 nm) [Parween et al, 2011], in at-least one dimesion. Nano-structures have special properties that are exclusively due to their nanoscale proportions. The use of nanostructured materials has expended to a broad range of applications, from electronics to biology and medicine, contributing to achievement or promising results. A new field "Biomedical nanotechnology" emerged in the last decade by the joint use of nanoelectronics, photolithography, and new biomaterials for common medical applications, such as biomedical instrumentation, tissue engineering, diagnostics and drug delivery. The impact of nanotechnology in the field of biomedical sciences is listed in Table 1.1.

Consumption of alcohol has been in practice since time immemorial and has been a part of rituals and customs in different cultures world over. There is no civilization in the history of the world in which production and consumption of alcohol has no reference. It is believed that consumption of alcohol in moderation may not pose or represent a pathological situation but when it exceeds the limits and becomes an addiction it comes to be viewed as a social evil and a health hazard and leads to other social evils and problems. Alcoholism is a known problem worldwide. Alcohol has been accepted as the most widely available and the most abused drug. The implications of alcoholism are mind boggling, considering the personal, family, financial and the social effects. Still, the economic considerations of alcohol for the industry, the resource generation for the governments and the control of the sale and consumption of this addictive beverage meet many obstacles. There are many reasons why alcoholism is viewed as a disease of the Nation. Many marriages break up over drinking problems. Family violence typically member when one or both spouses have been drinking, and drinking makes family violence more dangerous. Families play a critical role in mending from alcoholism. In India recently Alcohol use and abuse is a serious problem among young people. There are a number of unhealthy risks connected with it, including alcohol dependence, and alcohol related accidents and violent behavior. Alcohol dependence is a worldwide problem as its self-induced intoxication is socially tolerable. Alcohol as a disease driving force causes discriminating and chronic intoxication, cirrhosis of liver, toxic psychosis, pancreatitis, and gastritis, cardiac. All Individuals have particular psychological characteristics or traits, whichinfluence their behavior, in the form of specific skills and aptitudes. Humanbeings are social animals and their culture, religion, environment, education, bringing up and genetics affect their social lives. However, while biological, physical, environmental and psychological influenceson human life are clearly important, for sociologist they are not sole significantbases for understanding human lives. Other complex elements are involved inshaping human behavior. Social structure and environment characterized byregularity - in which individuals develop from childhood into teenagers, intoadulthood and through into old age. Everyone which lives in societies thatembrace a deeply held commitment to philosophies and ideas of "Individualism",with a strong emphasize on human being as unique individuals each with theirown specific quality, idiosyncrasies and responsible for their own actions, andwith success, happiness and fulfillment defined in terms of individualachievement. In modern Indian society philosophy of individualism and theirbeliefs is that every one is free to choose the government, their employers andtheir religions.Gender roles and important of ethnic groups membership also has an impact onindividual's social life. Sociologists have emphasized for many years while menand women differ biologically from each other in a number of respects, many ofthe differences in behavior patterns between them, both within and acrossdifferent societies, are "social constructions". - That is, they are the outcome ofsocial expectations, which have been built up around them and modified overdecades and centuries. The predominant responsibility for child rearing anddomestic task is still expected to lie with women, and there is still greater sociallicense extended to both teenagers and adult males in expressing their sexualitythan there are to their females peers.

In the developmental psychology one could see that the person grows from one stage to another stage step by step. This gradual process of human being is a natural aspect where the growth either leads either positive development or negative regression. From childhood to old age there are various stages where a person grows and develops his physical, mental and psychological facet of life. In these stages the adolescent stage is very interesting and golden stage in one's life. This stage is also known as "Teenage" where a boy or girl passes through a transition period from childhood. This progress is very unique as it is creating a certain level of maturity in one's physical and mental development.A boy or girl who has been in the protection of parents a child has move from restriction and control to freedom and autonomy. This peculiar and unique period has created false understanding among the parents that the children may be misled or they may take a negative path. This over cautious attitude of parents has led the children to get angry or a negative behaviour towards the parents. So there is a tug war going on between the teenager and the parents. In a way the parents are over protective towards their children so that the teenager feels that they still treated as children and the teenager is unable to enjoy the freedom and autonomy.Since such false understating and a tug of war in other words a hide and seek between these two groups continue to exist where the question arises who is right and who is wrong. At the same time who fails in his/her role as parents as well as a teenager. This problem of misunderstanding and role failure has created in me a researcher to find out where the problem is and who creates the problem and if at all there comes up a problem then who needs to be intervened is all about my study.By doing this research we are clear where this over protective parents who just created a wonder and curiosity, on the other hand the Teenager who misunderstood their parents started playing the hide and seek.Having my own personal interest and personal inquisitiveness I have completed this research work with the help of teenagers themselves. I hope this would be a guide in directing the teenagers and their parents.

Cancer is an important medical and public health problem. Each year more than 1.2million individuals in the United states are diagnosed with the disease and more than50,0000 die from it (Garfinkel, 1995). Cancer is the second leading cause of death in theUnited States (after heart disease) and a major source of premature mortality among bothmen and women (Garfinkel, 1995). It is estimated that 70 out of 100,000 people developcancer (between 5 and 6 lakh cases) annually in India (National Cancer Registry, 1987). Itstrikes all ages and all social, ethnic, religious, and cultural strata. Studies indicated thatthere was a meteoric rise in the mortality rate associated with Cancer. At the turn of the20th century, cancer was the eighth leading cause of death, far behind infectious illness, heart disease and stroke, accounting for 3% of death in the United States (Institute for theFuture, 2000). Now cancer accounts for approximately 23% of deaths in the United States(Hoyert, Kochanek & Murphy, 1999).

Low back pain is a universal burning aspect of human society. This leads tovarious health problems among people. Flowing data shows how low backpain is rapidly increasing. Many research reports projected that globally in2010, approximately one out of three Men are suffering from this problem. These reports further projects that by 2015, approximately one out of two willbe patient of low back pain. The researcher came across a considerablenumber of studies dealing several correlation, experimental, analyticalinterventions, which proves low back pain as an outbreak throughout thedeveloped and developing countries.. 'Low back pain is not just a product of the western world. In fact, developingcountries hold around one third of the world's low back pain patients. Muchresearch investigation could record one of the root causes of low back pain isphysical inactivity and sedentary life style. The sudden boom in low back pain is mostly attributed to technologicaladvances that have left us more sedentary. We drive rather than walk orcycle, we spend a lot of time sitting in front of computers and we do plenty ofwrong movements. Women particularly spend a lot of time in their home doinghouse work, instead of doing any physical activity like yoga, walking andwater exercise.

Increased self-understanding, identity exploration, physical and emotionalchanges, development of intimate relationships outside home, increased dependency onfriends, dilemmas, arguments with parents are all hallmarks of adolescent development.Awareness of ones sexual development, romantic relations with the member of oppositesex, curiosity and experimentation along with inadequate information and the preferencefor unreliable sources of information on puberty and sex, can pose a serious threat to thephysical, emotional and social well being of adolescents. With adults admitting theirembarrassment and unpreparedness to handle the growing sexual interests of theiradolescent child and with the ever increasing number of adolescents who indulge in risktaking behaviours like pre-marital and unprotected intercourse, the need to know andunderstand adolescents and to inculcate a sense of responsibility in them is of utmostimportance. For this, it becomes even more important to know the meaning ofreproductive health and sexuality and also to know the meaning of the aforementionedconcepts as understood by adolescents. This would, in turn, help to explore and knowwhat adolescents perceive of reproductive health, sexuality and related issues. Theseconcepts and the issues related to adolescent sexuality and risk taking and the spheres ofinfluence that affect and shape adolescent sexuality, as discussed in the following pages, form the bases of the present research.

The negative feeling of pain is often involuntarily expressed through facial expressions. Facial expression therefore is an important non-verbal cue to determine if a person is in pain. This property can be applied for diagnosis of pain especially among patients who are differently newlinechallenged and lack the ability of expressing their issue. In spite of the developments made so far, this field still lags behind in finding pain expressing faces in an uncontrolled environment through unprocessed newlinereal time images and videos. To bridge this gap, the study proposed a hybrid or fusion model that could adequately detect a face expressing pain. The model was executed with inputs taken from pre-recorded or stored newlinevideos and live streamed videos. It involved the combination of Patch Based Model (PBM), Constrained Local Model (CLM), and Active newlineAppearance Model (AAM) in concurrence with image algebra. This allowed the efficient pain identification from raw home-made stored newlinevideos and live stream even through a bad recording device and under poor illumination. The hybrid model was implemented in a frame-by-frame manner for feature extraction and pain detection. The feature extraction part was done in pixel-based and point-based representation. For point-based representation, a concept called image algebra was used. For classification, three approaches viz. histogram technique, Feed newlineForward Neural Network (FFNN), and Multilayer Back Propagation Neural Network (MLBPNN) were implemented and analyzed. The videos newlineof different subjects showed facial expressions of pain::face, not::pain face and neutral::face. A home-made dataset was produced for storing the videos which was later used as the input and the selected features were stored. This dataset served as the training set for the proposed model. Though the data was not highly sensitive it was sufficient to confer adequate information for detecting pain expression.
