SHARING THE GOSPEL THE DOCTRINE OF EVANGELISM A BIBLICAL HANDBOOKThis book explains God's plan to create a kingdom for His Son from eternity past and how each person of the Trinity is involved. It articulates the gospel message and the role man plays in its proclamation. It describes the schemes Satan uses to disrupt the gospel's advance and how to stand firm against him. It chronicles the numerous reactions the good news might receive from people and how Christians can respond to them. Written in a simple, straightforward style, this book describes all aspects of evangelism. God, the Father, has given Christians the amazing privilege and responsibility of sharing this incredible good news. May this book excite and incite all who read them to offer eternal life to everyone they know and encounter in daily life. All must know that Jesus is the only way to heaven. The positive aspects of the sharing of the gospel in this text have been reproduced in a new book entitled LEADING THE WAY. Every chapter begins with a typical scenario in which the gospel could be shared and ends with an ancient portrait and modern example of the principle taught. The chapter finishes with a personal prayer to the Lord you may use. A workbook companion can also be acquired for group study. If you lead the group study, there is an instructor's manual with the original book reproduced and the workbook questions with suggested answers from the text. This book discusses topics such as the true gospel, how to be born again, God's love for all mankind, God's sovereignty, seeking Christ's kingdom, turning from sin, repentance, confession, belief in Christ, receiving Jesus as Savior and submitting to Him as Lord, affirming Christ's miracles, fulfilled prophecies, and resurrection, loving Christ in a relationship, depending on faith alone, proclaiming Christ in baptism, accept Christ's forgiveness, enjoy God's blessings, anticipating your inheritance, and living for Christ. The purpose of this book is to help the group leader facilitate the study and discussion of the group books with the same title. Since you have been given such an important responsibility as leading a group of Christians in the study of the Bible, I would like to share with you some principles utilized by the apostle Paul in his teaching and preaching ministry. These will assist you in your time with the believers God has given to you to minister to. These are in no particular order but all are important. The Lord does not expect us to be perfect in them but to simply do the very best that we can. If we are willing to do our part, then He will do His part through His Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 12:5-7, Paul explains, "There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord." Here Paul, the apostle, acknowledges that the saints can minister to one another in a variety of ways. Then he adds, "There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all." As each person ministers, they will have a different impact than others but it is all the work of the Holy Spirit. Finally, he continues, "But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all." Your service in this ministry is coming from the giftedness which is a work of God's Spirit to benefit all. Do the best you can with these principles and let the Spirit do the rest.
